actually sounds pretty promising.
I just don't think it's going to be possible for them to achieve the same grippingly emotional dynamic as on Hospice. Still definitely looking forward to this.

I agree, they might have hit their peak on Hospice.

Probably one of the weaker tracks on the album..when taken in context with the live performance. What's up with 2011
and shitty singles?

(songs still good though)

It's been mentioned above, but you can hear the whole album (minus the song Tiptoes) on Youtube from SXSW, and it was also streaming on NPR. The new album sounds really good from the live show. I can't wait to hear the album version of this song when I get home.

Yeah, to be honest, I didn't have hopes for this track. Not sure why they chose this to be the song to show off.

You should give Hospice a listen demigod. It's a great record. =)
You can probably find all the tracks on Youtube if you aren't pushed on buying it.

Awesome track. Glad to see they're trying new things.

His vocals have only gotten better, too.

And yeah, this has a Radiohead quality to it. I think its the krautrock rhythm section/guitar work/vocals...

Whatever.

Track is awesome and I'm glad it didn't sound like something from Hospice. That album's great but I couldn't stomach another one.

The live performance of the album teases at some much better songs. Still didn't feel any came close to 'Two' and 'Bear'.

This song rules. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the new album has the potential to top Hospice.

just do it, it's so so so good. it's depressing if you've had someone recently die in your life, but you can handle it, it's just music

It's depressing in a kind of good way. It's like that feeling you get after watching a sad but great
film.

It's more saddening than it is depressing.

I like it. It's trance-y. The earth-shattering cathartic crescendos will be missed though.

Yeah, it's probably my weakest song on the album. It's kind of like TVOTR's "Will Do", a song that only really works in
the context of the album. The album is looking really damn good though. I mean, I am in love with those recordings.
So don't let this get ya down.

This'll probably be my least liked track when the album drops in May but it may sit well with the other songs.
