Avaliable 2.1.11....

oh shat gonna pack massive bong bowls when this drops, its a ritual did the same when 2001 came out haha
|
| |
And that's why weed-smokers get no respect ^
|
| |
that was kinda silly
it's basically eminem telling us how much he loves dr dre and then three minutes later dre finally comes in
|
| |
Pretty lackluster..
|
| |
3/5. eminem kinda ruins the song
|
| |
doesn't really sound like a dre song to me, but it's still pretty good...
hope detox isn't completely corrupted by how fagtastic rap has become in the last decade.
|
| |
I wonder if Detox will be delayed again.
|
| |
how are you guys hearing it?
|
| |
i fucking hate eminem post-2001
his voice is honestly aggravating.
Song is meh.

this is for u

Really don't understand how this is a Dr. Dre song. His rapping is lazy, his subject matter is redundant and he's taking the backseat on his own tracks. Losing hope for this on the daily.
|
| |
Hahahaha, I'm not saying he hasn't had good verses, I just cant stand them.
|
| |
didnt think it was that bad but basically a tribute to Dre, which i hope the whole album isnt.
if Detox is another 2001 i would be extremely happy.
|
| |
Just Dre and Em rapping about shit that happened 15 years ago...., How innovative..
|
| |
Yea this is gonna blow just like I figured. Why the fuck does the chorus sounds like a half ass Love the way you Lie chorus.
|
| |
Is this actually going to be on Detox though? This was on a mixtape a week or so ago so maybe it's just to garner hype? Unless it's been confirmed and I haven't seen it.
I agree with the general sentiment that this is no 2001, but theres still enough to at least provide a little hope. Detox will probably be sick even though no one wants to be positive about 2000's rap lol
|
| |
^ "Kush" was also featured on one of the Akon's mixtape before Dre officially released it.
|
| |
not looking for respect, smoke weed everyday fuck this social prison
|
| |
man the new dre stuff has been sucking...disappointing
|
| |
waited 12 years for this?
|
| |
^^ Possibly more.
|
| |
its weird: dre produced/co-produced almost every track on 2001 himself, but the first two official tracks off detox have been produced by others
if youre wondering why this song feels more like "Airplanes" Part III or "Love the Way You Lie" Part III than a dre track, it's probably because this song was produced by the same guy.
|
| |
Well, we'll always have The Chronic.
|
| |
All I see is Slim, fuck all you fair-weather friends all I need is him
sounds so unbelievably gay. Then he calls his haters faggots, the irony...
|
| |
This has been floating around since November.
And as far as I know, Dr Dre didn't even produce this, was produced by Alex Da Kidd who did the song with Rihanna on Em's last album.
|
| |
WTF IS THIS SHIT!!!!
|
| |
what's the difference between me and you
|
| |
Yeah, creativity has really perished in these two.
|
| |
Eminem's recovery is kinda getting in the way of his musical potential. I find everything seems too forced. But damn, finally hearing Dre dis his old hommie's makes this song pretty dope.
|
| |
Unintentionally, the most gayest song ever!! Still rules though...
|
| |
But seriously, am I the only one who can read the overtly gay undertones here?
|
| |
So I want to talk about this song, and this is the only place I guess I can, since I didn't get in on the convo when this dropped.
This is amazing. I didn't care for this at all the first few times I heard it. Then I listened to it on repeat on my iPod while running around the beach and watched the video for the song, and it all clicked. This is so brilliant. It's dark as fuck, some of the darkest stuff I've ever heard from Dre and Em but it's not pessimistic, it ends on a note of hope, like they've been through all of this crazy, crazy shit in their life, but damnit, they're going to get through it together as friends. The hook works, Em's verses are some of the best he's done in awhile, and even Dre's verse is good. And the beat? Insane. So dark and alluring.
Damn man, I really can't wait for whenever Detox drops now, if it's anything like this. Kush was okay, decent stoner jam, but this is freaking awesome and has me really, really hopeful for Detox for the first time in a long ass time.
