Kind of sounds like the rest of their most recent stuff, so its kind of meh. Not bad but not a milestone release.

Song sounds like a U2 ripoff for some reason. Bon Jovi is still pretty awesome.

Enough to make all their albums go platinum. Idiot
Digging: Evergreen Terrace - Almost Home |
| |
well on one hand, yes they should have stopped LONG ago, as they have been putting out bland, annoying, and just plain bad music for decades. basically they just make me cringe.
on the other hand, due to the alarmingly hideous music taste of most people, Bon Jovi is somehow world-famous and held in high regard. the guys grow several million dollars richer with every album they release. so in that context, why in hell would they stop now?

'Enough to make all their albums go platinum. Idiot'
reworded
are bon jovi at all relevant today
|
| |
Song rules. Chorus reminds me of "Born To Be My Baby."
Digging: Bon Jovi - Crossroad
|
| |
They do huge business on the country circuit, and they can still draw crowds from their 80s heyday, 90s revival and what they're doing now. They have a very young fan base too given their age profile- much younger than the likes of U2 and Madonna.
Digging: Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine
|

Yes, in fact Lost Highway sold over 1,200,000 copies in the US and over 5 million world wide. And the Lost Highway tour was the highest grossing tour in the US in 2008. A far cry from their prime in the late 80's, but still pretty relevant in today's standards.

Maybe their albums suck a bit these days. But they are still a good live band.

mediocre rock bands across the decades
70s = journey
80s = bon jovi
90s = korn
00s = nickelback
and its 2009
Digging: Devin Townsend Project - Addicted |

Love them or hate them, you can't fault a band for staying this relevant for nearly 30 years.
For crying out loud. How many of your mothers wants to bone Jon Bon Jovi?
|
| |
Not gonna listen to this, they only have a few songs worth listening to, some of them are overplayed too.
Digging: Death Cab For Cutie - Plans
|
| |
fucking lame retire with some dignity
|
| |
Being a fanboy and defending everything Bon Jovi does will not hide the fact their quality of music has diminished. I would rather sell a certain number of copies of the best album ever rather than sell millions of album that are total shit.
|
| |
This is real music, played with conviction by a master of his craft. Bon Jovi constantly reinvents himself, which is more than you can say about the shitty bands that get praised so much on this site.
|
| |
Regardless of whether he's relevant or not, he still puts on great live shows. Man's still got some pipes.
And, of course, I'm biased since we share the same origin in the Great State of New Jersey. Him and Bruce are our only real claims to fame.

Crossroad was the only album of there's I could really stand. Took all of their best moments and put it all in one.
Digging: Slayer - World Painted Blood

Kids could be listening to a lot worse than Bon Jovi tbh
Digging: Grand Belial's Key - Kosherat

band is pretty awful tbh
Digging: Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt II

But he's so handsome

"Kids could be listening to a lot worse than Bon Jovi tbh"
and they are, how about terrible groups such as Boys Like Girls and 3OH!3. kids rarely have taste in actual music anymore. not to say the Bon jovi's new stuff is much better.

Digging: Sarah Blasko - As Day Follows Night |

Oh cheer up, Bfhurricane, you have so much more than Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen, you also have Jon Stewart, Jersey Mike's, organs being sold on the black market by politicians and rabbis, and that show about psycho housewives.
Digging: Kanye West - Graduation
|
| |
Am I the only one who thinks the microphone on the album cover is a little unfortunately placed. Or maybe just right for Bon Jovi.
Digging: Miniature Tigers - Tell It To The Volcano
|

I agree with Teddy Picker!
But shit this is terrible music.
Digging: Gorillaz - Demon Days
|

They should have gone out in style during the late 80's or 90's. But yet, they plague us with their new style shitty music

"mediocre rock bands across the decades

90s = korn
00s = nickelback

They were not mediocre....there were plenty of other bands that would fit your example....."Livin' On A Prayer" is a 80's, and I dare say, a timeless classic. They can't be compared to Nickelback
Digging: Thrice - Beggars
