I don't know how I feel about the new song. So much vocal layering makes it hardly sound like Angella at times, and more like every other angry melodeath band :/ Still going to buy the album though, and it did sound better than the original.

Nah, it sucked. Gossow said she was going to leave the vocal layering behind on Rise of the Tyrant, and that worked really well for her. Here she's gone so far as being more sandwiched than what she was on Doomsday and Anthems, combined.

The music -- well that will be the interesting part. They've chosen a pretty decent track list. Most comes from Burning Bridges which is their best album from this era.

sounds a bit like dark tranquility, vocal layering is a bit over the top.

Seriously guys? I thought the layering was brutal. Like, brutal as in metal, and metal as in awesome.

That song was pretty killer, while the vocal layering is a bit much. It really doesn't sound that bad, the guitar riffs are amazing though. Glad they choose some good songs from the past albums.

I like it, but it seems to have lost a bit of power in the chorus. It gained a bit of epicness in the process though.

Can't wait to hear what the new Bury Me An Angel will sound like. I'd have prefered a new Arch Enemy album of original songs to a re-recording of an old album though. Dark Insanity would also be interesting to hear again.

Digging: Jesu - Silver

I think they're taking October off, so maybe the Amott's can get off their butts and write some riffs during their vacation :P

Still so generic. They take the worst song from an early DT album and keep playing it 10 times over to make a whole album.

Ergh, this one has absolutely no crunch compared to the old one. Not that it was a terribly good song to begin with, but the one on Stigmata had HUGE huge guitars. Vocal layering is stupid. Doesn't detract at all but I agree with whoever said she sounds her best on the latest. After hearing this I really don't hope they do this to Bridge Of Destiny...

Well at least the outro in Bridge of Destiny has no vocals.
