Both Arlington metal duo Cara Neir and blackened crust unit Wildspeaker have released a song from their upcoming split together titled Guilt and His Reflection, which is due to be released through Broken Limb Recordings.
"The split, set to be released on September 16, 2016, details the decay of humanity crumbling into itself. This partnership exposes the story of post-civilization sins committed when desperation overwhelms."

Ironically not one to learn the beauty of patience, Mark Kozelek has just released the second track from a Jesu/Sun Kil Moon album that isn't due for another 9-10 months. The album, 30 Seconds to the Decline of Planet Earth, will be released on June 1, 2017 on Caldo Verde Records.

New Orleans rap duo $uicideboy$ are back with a new track, teaming up with South Florida native Denzel Curry. The track, "ULTIMATE $UICIDE", is set to be on $uicideboy$' upcoming project, Eternal Grey, that drops on September 11th.

Iowa based metal band Slipknot have announced that at their Knotfest performance on September 25, 2016 they will perform their 2001 sophomore album Iowa in its entirety in celebration of its 15th anniversary. This will be the first time ever the band has played the entire album live.
Singer, song-writer, producer, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is now streaming his new album, Aranas en La Sombra as part of the Ipecac Recordings series he started earlier this year. This album is the fourth entry of twelve that will be released until the end of 2016. This album is the oldest in the series, featuring recordings from '02-'03, with original The Mars Volta members Jon Theodore, Juan Alderete de la Peña, Eva Gardner, the late Isaiah "Ikey" Owens and Red Hot Chili Pepper's guitarist, John Frusciante. Avid TMV fans will take notice that several of these compositions were released as demos in 2013 after their disbanding and have been re-worked and re-recorded for this album. New York metalcore band Every Time I Die have released a new song from their upcoming album, dropping on September 23rd.
The track, titled "C++ (Love Will Get You Killed)", recounts vocalist Keith Buckley's experience of a medical crisis his wife Lindsay experienced when pregnant with their first child back in 2015.

Nu-Metalcore band "Of Mice and Men" have released a new music video for their recently released new song "Real", off of their upcoming fourth album "Cold World" which is slated for release on September 9th. The video was created using fan submitted footage, and particular emphasis was put on those who suffer from Marfan Syndrome, which is what vocalist Austin Carlile has suffered throughout his life, causing him multiple organ collapses, and repeated surgeries.
In Flames premiered their new track "The End" and gave us some information about their twelfth album today. The new album "Battles" will be released November 11 and was recorded in Los Angeles with the producer Howard Benson (Motörhead, Body Count, Sepultura).

Moby announced the first edition of Circle V, a 100% vegan festival that will take place at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on October 23. Blaqk Audio and Cold Cave, among others, will join him on stage and all proceeds will go to Mercy For Animals.
In the spirit of the festival, Moby has also released a new song with his Void Pacific Choir, called 'Don't Leave Me'. Besides this, a new album will be out sometimes this fall. It is unclear if the performance at the festival will act as a release gig. However, the man again ruled out touring behind his upcoming LP.
Sum 41 have released a new music video for the track "War" from their upcoming comeback album, 13 Voices, out October 7 via Hopeless Records. The piano driven track is a contrast with the melodic hardcore influence of first single "Fake My Own Death".

UK Based Power Metal band Power Quest have released a new track titled Face the Raven which is off of their upcoming E.P which has yet to be named. This is Power Quest's first new Music in 5 years since 2011's Blood Alliance. The band Broke up 3 years ago but announced they were getting back together earlier this year.
In another interesting tidbit of news Former Power Quest Singer Alessio Garavello has been filling in for vocalist Marc Hudson of Dragonforce while he gets his health in order.
