Along with the reactivation of Faith No More, Mike Patton has recently confirmed Fantomas' first live concert in six years at the RockOut Festival in Santiago, Chile, set to take place on December 6th. Tickets and further info can be obtained from the Festival's official website:
Patton did allude to the possibility of a new album back in 2006, but no mention of such has been discussed as of yet.
Mississippi-based rapper Big K.R.I.T. decided to unexpectedly drop a new mixtape today. It
is the fourth installment to his See Me On Top series and features the likes of Yo Gotti,

Manchester Orchestra have released a re-creation of their new album Cope today. The
stripped down variation, Hope, consists of strings, different kinds of piano, and softer
vocal arrangements - all in stark contrast its gritty counterpart released earlier in the year.
Hope is available for digital download today, and will be released on CD and vinyl on
November 18th. A free digital download will also be provided to anyone who purchases tickets for

Nine Inch Nails live keyboard player and former ModWheelMood member, Alessandro Cortini has dropped a new song, called 'Thanks For Calling'. This is the first new material in three years, and so far, no further news regarding a new full length have been revealed.
In a surprise announcement, Swedish death-metallers Bloodbath have named Nick Holmes as their new vocalist. Holmes is best known for his work with Paradise Lost, the classic death/doom metal outfit out of England.
Adding that they didn't want to go in the direction of a Fathomless Mastery - Part II, Jonas Renske has gone on to say that the band's next release, Grand Morbid Funeral would be leaning more towards the direction of "raw, organic, sludgy death metal".
Grand Morbid Funeral is set to be released on November 17th 2014.
Russian/Ukrainian folk, doom, post-rock band Kauan are premiering the closing track to their upcoming sixth album Muistumia, a crowd-funded collection of re-recorded tracks from their raw and early days as teenagers in Chelyabinsk, Russia.
The song, 'Orkidea', is a newly recorded and re-arranged version of the closing track to the band's 2008 sophomore effort Tietäjän Laulu.
The band is most notable for being one of the only non-Finnish entities to sing almost exclusively in the very difficult and obscure language of Finnish. The album's title Muistumia translates to "Reminiscences" and features six re-recorded tracks and one brand new song. The vinyl release also features two bonus tracks.
It will be available for pre-order on September 17th, 2014 via Finnish label Blood Music and will be released on November 4th, 2014.
Newsletter The Daily Times recently undertook an interview with Helmet front man Page Hamilton. During the interview, Hamilton mentioned that Helmet are now working on their currently untitled eighth record and and hopes for a 2015 release.
In the interview, he mentioned that "[they've] got 70-something songs". This will be the first Helmet record since 2011's Seeing Eye Dog.

Australian progressive rock band Sleep Parade have announced on their Facebook page that they are splitting
up. Lead singer and guitarist Leigh Davies wrote this statement:
"It's been quite a while since we last touched base with you all. We have all been busy focusing on other
musical endeavours and bits and pieces.
Sleep Parade have unfortunately decided to call it a day. We have all had a blast along the journey for the last 10
years and played with heaps of great bands who we'd again like to thank for their support and fun times over the

Electronic metal multi-instrumentalist Scott Albert, also known as Celldweller, has dropped two new tracks of the first chapter from his upcoming album, entitled End of an Empire.
The chapter is called Time and it will be released tomorrow (Sept. 16) on FiXT Music.
