In light of guitarist Justin Lowe's disappearance and subsequent death earlier this month, After the Burial have announced that they will not be performing on their scheduled Summer Slaughter Tour dates.
The band released a statement on the matter:
"In the wake of our loss, it comes with heavy hearts to inform everyone that we have decided not to perform on this years Summer Slaughter tour. The recent events have been unimaginably heartbreaking, and Justin’s passing is something that each of us needs time with our families and friends to recover from.
Justin Lowe’s story may have a sad ending, but the legacy he leaves us is one that should do nothing but inspire.
From the bottom of our hearts, we’d like to thank everyone who has reached out in support and with kind words for him, his family, and us. It has been truly amazing to see all the people whose lives he impacted in a positive way".

Avenged Sevenfold will be on the search for a new drummer, as the band announced today that it will move forward without Arin Ilejay. Ilejay joined the band in 2011 following the departure of Mike Portnoy, who replaced original drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, who died in 2009.
The band posted this statement on their website:
Hello Everyone –
We are writing this to inform you all that we will be moving forward without Arin IIejay as our drummer. Arin has been nothing but a positive energy and monster drummer for us over the past 4 years. We love the guy and always will. We are and will always be grateful to him for helping us to move forward through some very dark times. Creatively though, we felt we needed to move in a different direction. While we can’t say more at this time, we are excited for the future and looking forward to sharing our plans soon with the greatest fans in the world. As always we appreciate your understanding and ...more

32-year-old guitarist Justin Lowe from After The Burial has tragically been found dead. Lowe had published a lengthy rant on Facebook citing a conspiracy against him last month, which included his decision to leave the band. The post was shortly taken down, and it was reported that he was in the care of family. However, Lowe's car was found abandoned a few days ago, with no sign of him.
The official report states: "Lowe's body was found by a hiker Tuesday evening beneath the Arcola High Bridge near Somerset, Wisconsin. His vehicle had been found in a parking lot nearby in Minnesota. Authorities state that cause of death is consistent with a fall".
