Aussie rockers The Getaway Plan are streaming their third LP, 'Dark Horses' on their Soundcloud, ahead of its July 3 release. Their first release since 2011's 'Requiem', 'Dark Horses' sees a continuation of that album's experimentation into darker, more atmospheric territory.

Dan Tompkins (singer for every progressive metal and djent band in the world) has mutually parted ways with the Delhi based, Skyharbor. The distance and heightened tour schedule for Skyharbor coupled with Tompkins rejoining TesseracT helped make the decision much easier for both sides and there is no bad blood between them. This will have no impact on the White Moth Black Butterfly project that consists of both Tompkins and Keshav Dhar.
The band has already brought on a new singer, Eric Emery (formerly of Concordia) to take over vocal duties. Here is Eric in a live take of the first song on Skyharbor's last album, "Evolution."
Pop punk titans The Wonder Years have detailed their upcoming fifth LP, entitled No Closer to Heaven. The album will be released September 4th via Hopeless Records.
The band has also announced that they will be launching pre-orders tonight, June 29th, 2015 as well as premiering a brand new song from the album.

Yes bassist and founding member, Chris Squire, passed away June 28th at the age of 67. The news comes less than six weeks after receiving a diagnosis for acute erythroid leukemia.
The following statement was released on the Yes Facebook page regarding the news:
"It’s with the heaviest of hearts and unbearable sadness that we must inform you of the passing of our dear friend and Yes co-founder, Chris Squire. Chris peacefully passed away last night in Phoenix Arizona, in the arms of his loving wife Scotty.
For the entirety of Yes’ existence, Chris was the band’s linchpin and, in so many ways, the glue that held it together over all these years. Because of his phenomenal bass-playing prowess, Chris influenced countless bassists around the world, including many of today’s well-known artists. Chris was also a fantastic songwriter, having written and co-written much of Yes’ most endearing music, as well as his solo album, Fish Out ...more
Italian progressive rock band Goblin Rebirth are streaming their soon-to-come, self-titled debut album at their official Bandcamp location.
As the band name implies, Goblin Rebirth are the continuation of cult progressive rock outfit Goblin, which yielded masterpieces such as the Suspiria soundtrack. Goblin Rebirth will be released on June 29, courtesy of Relapse Records.
Bay Area thrashers Death Angel previewed their upcoming live album The Bay Calls For Blood through Nuclear Blast's YouTube channel. The track 'Fallen', originally from 2013's The Dream Calls For Blood, can be heard below.

Leading up to the release of their highly anticipated third full-length Node, Sydney metalcore band Northlane split up the pieces to a new song entitled 'Leech' and posted them on various social networking sites for the community to find and assemble.
In less than a day, the puzzle was solved with thanks to fans and other associated acts such as Byron Bay contemporaries In Hearts Wake. Hooray for teamwork!
The band are currently working on a music video for the song, but in the meantime, listen to 'Leech' here:
Electronic rock project Celldweller has now officially announced and teased his upcoming EP, entitled Death, which is the final part from the 4-part EP project End of an Empire. The EP, much like the previous ones, will contain 5 original tracks along with multiple remixes and variations of the afformentioned songs.
The EP is set for release on July 17.

Ex-Megadeth members Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover recently announced their plans for a new band called Act of Defiance. Now the band have premiered a music video for the song 'Throwback', which is taken from their upcoming debut album.
The two are joined by former Scar the Martyr frontman Henry Derek and Shadows Fall guitarist Matt Bachland providing bass.

After The Burial guitarist and co-founder Justin Lowe recently left the band. His exit statement contains his thoughts on a massive conspiracy against him that is "more powerful than law enforcement." He states that the perpetrators could include everyone he knows.
Lowe posted the lengthy rant on his personal Facebook page, urging readers to save the letter in case it was deleted.
After The Burial has yet to comment on Lowe's departure or his exit statement.
Sydney, Australia based deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder are currently streaming their third full length record Holy War. The album is being issued through Nuclear Blast records and is due for official release on June 26 (AU/EU) and June 29 (US/UK).
Rick Ross has been arrested on kidnapping, assault (by pistol-whipping one of his employees), and aggravated battery charges.
This isn't the first time Ross has been arrested, as he was convicted of marijuana possession in 2008, 2011 and 2013 too.
Ross could be facing jail time if he is convicted.
