Disillusion front-man Andy Schmidt has been dropping hints and snippets of information for the better part of a year now concerning a new album.
Today he released information that a new album is definitely coming, and that it is coming soon. The following was posted on Disillusion's Facebook page today:
"Dear friends, today is a Great Day! After many years we have finally finished something NEW! Together with my dear friend and colleague Alexander Tscholakov from Tam Recordings - who has been such an amazing part of all Disillusion releases to date - we finalized the mix of new Disillusion material that is soon to come. American electronic rock duo Death Spells have announced their debut album. The band, comprised of ex-MCR guitarist Frank Iero and ex-Get Up Kids member James Dewees, have released a new song from the album, which you can listen to below, entitled "Why Is Love so Dangerous?". The album, titled "Nothing Above, Nothing Below" is set for release on July 29th.
New Jersey Prog/Ska/Fusion septet Thank You Scientist have debuted the second new track from their upcoming album "Stranger Heads Prevail".
The Amateur Arsonist's Handbook offers more of Thank You Scientist's signature sound, featuring more of the violin, trumpet and saxophone to attempt to melt faces with instruments that do not typically melt faces.
"Stranger Heads Prevail" will be officially released on July 29th via Evil Ink Records, the label created by Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez.

Originally recorded in 2004, The Gathering just released to their Bandcamp page the featured soundtrack to Passengers In Time: The Musical History Tour, a conceptual book of study of the musical history of Europe that comes with an interactive software and music composed by the band to accompany it. The album has been described by TG as a more experimental and ambient piece, deriving inspiration from trip-hop, soundtrack music and European influences.
"It's a nice and somewhat experimental release and fun for you Gathering lovers to check it out. But mind you, this is not an official Gathering release. It's a small piece in the big jigsaw puzzle of Wim and his companions. Nevertheless, it's nice to add to your collection."

Crunk veterans BrokeNCYDE have released a new song from an as of yet untitled new album. This new song is titled "Bout It" and it comes only a short four months after their most recent album "All Grown Up" was released. The song continues the group's abrupt transition into a more trap based sound.

Of Mice & Men have announced the name and release date of their upcoming fourth album. Titled Cold World, it is set to be released on September 9th. Along with this announcement comes a single, 'Pain', released along with a music video. You can watch it below.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler stated on the Howard Stern show that the band has been planning on embarking on a farewell tour in 2017, and afterward, would retire. He did not rule out making one more studio album.
The band is nearly 50 years old, and breakup rumors had been circulating for years. Tyler has also been working on a country music solo album, which will be released in July, to the chagrin of his bandmates.

Bernie Worrell, the keyboardist known as the "Wizard of Woo", has passed away aged 72 after a short battle with lung cancer, according to his wife.
Worrell, known for his work in acts such as Parliament-Funkadelic (with whom he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997) and Talking Heads, as well as his own solo career and brief time in Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains (also known as C2B3), had revealed in January that he was suffering from a "mild form" of prostate cancer along with stage 4 liver cancer, and asked for donations from fans to help him pay his medical bills, as well as complete what was set to be his final album, Retrospectives. No word has yet been released regarding the album's status.

Pop Punk outfit Yellowcard have officially announced they will be disbanding after the release of self titled album, set to release on september 30th, and a world tour.

Swedish melodeath band Soilwork have officially released a new song, entitled 'Helsinki', which comes off of their upcoming B-sides and rarities album Death Resonance. The album, which contains at least 15 rare and unreleased material, including 2 new tracks (including 'Helsinki'), is scheduled to be released on August 19th, and can be pre-ordered at the official Nuclear Blast website.

Experimental composer and multi-instrumentalist Tyondai Braxton, once a member of the experimental math rock group Battles, has released a surprise EP entitled Oranged Out. This pay-what-you-want project is being released in support of the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, a non-profit organization that raises awareness about gun violence and advocates for gun control and safety. All the money made from this EP will go to the organization. A music video, created by Grace Vilamil, has also been released in tandem with this EP release.
