The Essential Guilty Pleasure Album List of the Last Ten Years

This is a list comprised of pretty damn good albums released in the past ten years that you'd probably be ashamed to admit you listen to to your friends. I wouldn't however, because I could really care less, and actually prefer to pop in one of these while cruising the town with my friends. I bump this shiznit...and I don't care.
1Fiona Apple
Tidal

This album is absolutely breathtaking. At times I find myself just left in awe after listening, even after many years of owning it. She's one of a kind.
2Rent: Original Broadway Soundtrack
Rent

I don't care if this is a broadway album, and Seasons of Love is my top played song of all time on Last.fm. Some might consider listening to a soundtrack to a movie comprising more than it should with gays and Aids extremely homosexual. I could care less.
3Norah Jones
Come Away with Me

The general consensus on Norah Jones is that she is extremely boring. I suppose I could see where they are coming from. However, I see more than that in her sultry vocals and beautiful smile. I see beautiful music. So what if the target audience is over 50.
4Nightwish
Wishmaster

Apparently it's uncool to like metal that doesn't scream.
5Stream of Passion
Embrace the Storm

See above.
6Kelly Clarkson
Breakaway

Actually, it seems that most people are decent enough to admit that Kelly Clarkson is basically the best thing pop music has had in awhile. She's great.
7Ryan Adams
Jacksonville City Nights

Liking Ryan Adams is bad enough, liking the most straight up country of all his releases is even worse. Ryan Adams rocks. So does pedal steel.
8Sufjan Stevens
Illinois

Also, apparently it's uncool to like unique singer/songwriters who release one of the best albums in recent memory because there just aren't any sick breakdowns and Chicago resides in Illinois and the White Sox like to use cameras to steal people's signs. Uncool.
9 Tegan and Sara
So Jealous

Unless you're a high school teenage girl with no maturity whatsoever, this is a no no. I however do not agree.
10Snow Patrol
Eyes Open

The beautiful anthems on this album are incredible. It's a shame Snow Patrol and Coldplay get thrown into that British gay-ness department. I love them both.
