Porcupine Tree: A question

So, I have recently(actually today) discovered Porcupine Tree. Well, I was always familiar with the name and knew it was a british Prog-Rock/Metal band and it had a really good reputation. Steven Wilson is nowadays a very known and respected musician. It's hard to be not aware of what he has done. But I've never listened to the music he made. I started to listen to 'In Absentia' and I first started with the songs 'Lips of ashes' and 'Gravity Eyelids' being more than amazed by these songs. I adored the higly profound and dark atmosphere of these songs and also being sometimes very experimental (especially Lips of ashes). I adored these songs and listened to the other songs, just to get dissapointed. They all werent rudimentarily like these two songs, i felt they all were to simple and popy and hadnt the same degree of atmosphere and experimentation as i had wished. Ultimately being somewhat dissapointed by the album, for just being too straighforward for me, i wanted to ask wether there are other Porcupine tree albums that fullfill these expectations I've set before. Just something in that vein. I've read, that Wilson never wants anything to sound the same, but maybe there's something that somehow resembles what i'm asking for here. Just something very experimental, very open minded and atmospheric. The beginning of Lips of ashes, with the bells or whatever, really kindled my attention and really engaged me into this dense atmosphere which i very much enjoyed and appreciated. I hope you understand what my problem is and give me some constructive feedback. I dont wish to start a hate conversation over me and what im saying here or the band etc, which i too often witnessed in several lists. I just would be happy if you could help me out. :)
