| My Top 15 Albums (not objectively, just based on my enjoyment)
So I'm bored and I wanted to make a list. And this is the result I guess. Basically these are the rrrrralbums that I like the most obviously. *disclaimer* Yes, I know what objectively good music rrris. rYes, I know some of, if not all lot these are objectively 3.5s or lower. Do I care? Literally rrno. rI'm a bored young boy. | 1 | | Bon Iver For Emma, Forever Ago
wow dude, how original | 2 | | Ricky Eat Acid Three Love Songs
do you love the new julia brown album? | 3 | | Nosaj Thing Home
i don't even know for this one, i just like it a lot | 4 | | Slipknot Iowa
no shame, i heart this band a lot. they do heavy better than a good majority in my
opinion | 5 | | The National Trouble Will Find Me
i don't really see why this album wasn't as well received as their older stuff. i get it,
it's not as good objectively, but surely it's close for most people right? | 6 | | Passion Pit Gossamer
hey, i have bipolar disorder too. i like this album. i'd have sex with michael
angelakos in a heartbeat | 7 | | Bon Iver Bon Iver, Bon Iver
i don't buy into all that "he didn't make the aesthetic jump gracefully enough" i like
this album a lot | 8 | | Ashes Divide Keep Telling Myself It's Alright
this one - i have no idea, for real. i've liked it ever since it came out, i was in like
fourth or fifth grade | 9 | | teen suicide I Will Be My Own Hell Because There...
i'd bang sam ray too, obviously | 10 | | Nosaj Thing Drift
didn't like this as much as home for some reason | 11 | | Jon Hopkins Immunity
goddamn, this man is attractive, he produced for coldplay or something you know? | 12 | | mewithoutYou Brother, Sister
i used to like this band so much more, but they've just been dropping on my list
lately for some reason | 13 | | Friendzone DX
god, this album is so much fun to me | 14 | | Sun Kil Moon Benji
god, this album is so much not fun to me | 15 | | Have Mercy (MD) The Earth Pushed Back

08.06.14 | It's odd. Bon Iver's debut is one of four 5's I've given up, but I only care for the first two tracks of his second release. | Calc
08.06.14 | the disclaimer about this list being your opinion is redundant and won't stop people from shitting on your them if they "suck" so don't waste your time | Italianjesusfootball
08.06.14 | But yeah, most of these are cool af. never got into 8 and 14 though | Rowan5215

08.06.14 | wow john, thank you. that made me a happy little schoolgirl
and yeah calc, i just wanted to ward off the small percentage of people thinking i was parading this around as some definitive list or something
dude, rowan i know, that album hit me so hard for the longest time, but it's just gotten kind of, i don't want to say boring or bland, but i really think i've just listened to it too much. boring stock reply i know, but it's true | tempest--
08.06.14 | can you do your objective top 15 albums please I would like to know | Trebor.

08.06.14 | "and yeah calc, i just wanted to ward off the small percentage of people thinking i was parading this around as some definitive list or something"

08.06.14 | Jon Hopkins is indeed a handsome man. Puts on a great show too. Also 10 is awesome. | wowyouresohxc
08.06.14 | "can you do your objective top 15 albums please I would like to know"
dang. yeah, you requested it so i'll have to do that now. people will end up pissed at me, but yeah, i'll do that
ay thanks treb, that actually means a lot, for real
"Somebody tell him that we aren't allowed to enjoy music here"
i'm glad someone finally told me
i seriously don't even mind that at all calc, it definitely makes for a lot of interesting threads, so i'm always happy for some arguments
i'm glad you agree let. we should have a sit down and talk about his face sometime. my home address is 500 s van buren - abilene, kansas 67410 come visit me sometime. my god, that album is really interesting to me, i always hated it for the longest time. when home came out i, absolutely adored that album, but i still couldn't stand drift for some reason. and i don't know where i heard this quote, like guitar world magazine or something, but it was something like "the longer it takes for you to really like an album, the longer it will stay with you." and usually for me, the harder i rebound as well, and i'm definitely finding that to be true with drift, obviously home came out last year, so it hasn't been that long since i've actually started liking drift, but it does not show any signs of letting up for me personally. so there's an unnecessarily long story about that, and my home address. do with all that as you will | ScuroFantasma
08.06.14 | Cool list, props for 4 too, me likey. How do you feel about Vol 3? | wowyouresohxc
08.06.14 | thanks a ton, man. oohhh, vol. 3 was way better objectively, i think anyone can admit that, but it just doesn't have that emotional weight that iowa does for me. and i know it is so cliché to say this, and i'm sorry you even have to read it, but iowa just came at such a dark time in my life, and it just means a lot more to me, but that's not answering your question. and for real, sorry for making you read that, no one wants to hear it. anyway, vol. 3 is definitely an album i'll put on just if i want something to easily follow along to, at least in the vocal melody. there's almost constantly one happening, not the same with iowa of course. and it's so much fun to drum along to, on a random note. but yeah, vol. 3 is just so freaking catchy, and i really don't think they sold out on that album. i know that's a big concern for a lot of people. if they wanted to sell out, they'd ditch the masks, the swearing, the "yelling" all that. and i know that some people will say the masks are just a marketing point too, but really are a bunch of 40+ dudes running around in costumes more accessible than people who, i don't know, aren't? and then obviously they did cut down on the naughty language, but it's not completely gone. and on a side note, the bonus tracks on that album were so freaking sick, i can't even begin to describe how much they just breathed new life into that album for me. scream and don't get close especially. but yeah, i can't really say much else about it, objectively better, but i don't like it as much. hopefully that was thorough enough. sorry if too thorough |
