Top 10 Beatles Song From A Metalhead's Perspective

3 years ago, i thought the Beatles we're the best thing in rrrmusic. Now, after 3 years of rgoing through Gansta Rap to rrrProgressive Rock to Avant-Gard rJazz to Death Metal, i find rrrrrsitting through only 1 Beatles' song a drag.
1The Beatles
Happiness Is A Warm Gun

With it's old school blues influence and Hard Rock delivery, it's definitely the Beatles most edgy song (though that's not saying much).
2Something

George Harrison wasn't really the hit maker of the group. Most of the songs he had written were simply fillers (Ahem, Blue Jay Way). But during the recording of Abbey Roads, he had some breakthroughs. Something, not being the only one, was the best of those breakthroughs.
3While My Guitar Gently Weeps

If you ever played guitar, you probably know how to play this song. It really isn't too complicated (as it is to be expected from a Beatles song), but it does pack an incredible amount of emotion.
4A Day In the Life

Few Beatles song can actually be considered progressive. This is one of those few. Pushing even lyrical boundaries with Lennon's almost whispered "i love to turn you on".
5Yesterday

If you thought that the most covered song in history wouldn't be in the list, you have another thing coming. I don't find this song as enticing as the millions of people that herald it as the pinnacle of acoustic songs. It's poppy and enjoyable, but that's really all it has going for it.
6Strawberry Fields Forever

Out of all of the Beatles attempts at Psychedelia, this is the only one that wasn't a hit and miss. Songs like "Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds" were just sad attempts at psychedelic. Lennon's part really work, but then comes McCartney's attention needing personality again and that annoying chorus line. Unlike "Lucy", Lennon's allowed to do this song all by himself and his soothing voice triggers the psychedelic effect perfectly.
7Eleanor Rigby

Eleanor Rigby is the only McCartney composition that i find any good. During his time in the band he was perfecting his Pop style so he could start his solo career. Never did you actually see Paul divert from plain pop. While Lennon and Harrison actually poured out all of their creatity to their work and Ringo was out being Ringo, Paul just sat down for ten minutes or so and wrote down the words "hello" and "goodbye" a thousand times in paper. Eleanor Rigby shows that Paul, if he even tried, could make a good pop song (too sad moments like this are rare).
8Come Together

This is one of those songs that was actually ahead of it's time. The style created by this song would be the style that the 70's would follow. It's Pink Floyd's Money, before Pink Floyd's Money (And yes, i'm willing to make that comparison).
9Because

Why? Just 'Cause
10Across The Universe

This was Lennon's last great gift as a Beatle. A song that can be immersive and groovy. The song that stetted the 60's and rose the sun in 70's. One of the Beatles' most beautiful songs (if not? It's the most beautiful).
