Music For Walking The Dog
OK, so I have a dog, like many people probably do. His name is Max, and rhe's a beagle. Pretty rrfucking cute, but only when he's not chewing toilet rpaper up. I have to walk him a lot, or he rrgets really out of control. I hate rwalking him so much. Here's some music I use to make walking rrhim less of a rpain. |
15 | | Rage Against The Machine Rage Against The Machine |
14 | | Swallow The Sun Emerald Forest And The Blackbird |
13 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik |
12 | | Shabazz Palaces Black Up
No, this really is great for this. Epic flow and nice experimental beats to walk to. |
11 | | Marilyn Manson Antichrist Superstar
Yeah, he really sucks now, but this is him in his prime. You have to admit that "Irresponsible Hate Anthem", "The Beautiful
People", "Tourniquet", the title-track, and "1996" fit well into this category for feeling energized. |
10 | | Dodheimsgard 666 International
The piano parts are kind of strange to walk to, but otherwise, pretty solid album for
this purpose. |
9 | | Elliott Smith XO
"Sweet Adeline" fills me up with a sense of warmth, and the rest of the songs are
kind of depressing, but they still give some energy fill. |
8 | | Jimi Hendrix His Greatest Hits - Long Live Versions
Excellent live album, the songs are all good for walking. The crowd reactions and
solos are the best parts, they feel like fucking Red Bull for godsake. |
7 | | The Beatles 1
Their albums have no filler on them, but this first collection of greatest hits from
them is all their best songs in one album. Really poppy energizing feel, that makes
me feel happy after I get home from walking. |
6 | | Converge All We Love We Leave Behind
This new one from them had way more variation, not as energetic, but still very so.
"Aimless Arrow" is a great opener to get started out with, and the drum-roll on (I
think, tell me if I'm wrong) the song "Glacial Pace", or "Sparrow's Fall". I'm not sure
which one it is. Love this album. |
5 | | Converge Petitioning The Empty Sky
Yeah, this should be higher up, but it mostly stays in the background for me. It is a
great for walking though. "The Saddest Day" gets me really pumped up, and the
songs after keep it that way. |
4 | | Tool 10,000 Days
Yeah, I know its Tool we're talking about here, but I really love the progression in a
lot of these songs. "Vicarious", "Jambi", "Wings For Marie", and "Rosetta Stoned" are
great for walking, especially the ladder. The part where he screams is just pure
adrenaline. |
3 | | Pile Dripping
Some cool experimentation that I really enjoy listening to, and it's metal and jazz
fusion pretty damn good. Great for walking. |
2 | | Dying Fetus Reign Supreme
All the way through, this thing is perfect for walking to. The drummer is amazing, it
makes me feel like running to it almost. |
1 | | Soundgarden Superunknown
Got some really nice poppy material that gives a nice confident stride to my legs
when I listen to it. |
