10.06.12 | I've seen John Q. The main reason to like it is because of Denzel Washington though. He's really good, and the movie itself reminded me of Phone Booth quite a bit (in the way that it was isolated and what-not). Not the best movie ever, but a solid one that does what it does and gets the job done fine. |

10.06.12 | That scene is awesome, that main chick is a true badass at the end of the film. The more I watch it, the more I love it. The first-time I watched it, it was the scariest movie I've ever seen in my life. The next couple of times, I enjoyed it more so as a tale of redemption for the main character. The Descent has great performances, strong characters, subtle things that you'll pick up on after a second viewing (like when they first show a creature crouching down and watching the women as they first climb into the cave), scary creatures (most of which are relentless in punishing these women), solid pacing, it has everything done just right. |
