My favorite albums (One album per band version)
An incredible album that highlights everything that makes Iron Maiden the world's finest metal band. A complete tour de force of
energy and passion from start to end, with the entire line-up firing full cylinders on their respective instruments, "Powerslave" is
the absolute definition of a classic.
A monster of a record. Hard to believe that this album is 11 years old as it still feels years ahead of it's time. The scope of this
album is incredible, not an easy album for a first listen but with repeated listens it will reward thousandfold for those who are
patient enough to allow the albums bigger picture to be revealed.
Reign In Blood
Simply put this album is pure fucking aggression. Slayer have made a incredible 29 minute attack of pure brutality with little
melody or slow down that is testosterone and adrenaline put to disc. Not for the faint of heart.
...And Justice For All
"Justice" is by far Metallica's most complex album full of blinding guitar solos, thunderous drums, incredible song progression all to
the beat of Metallica's most overtly political lyrics. Essential.
|5||The Devin Townsend Project|
An incredibly beautiful album with little aggression to even call this a rock album is a push. Fantastic music for relaxing.
Written for Buckethead's mother to help her relax when receiving cancer treatment, a very soft, beautiful and restrained album
that instantly relaxes me. Bliss.
Fear Of A Blank Planet
An album that epitomizes quality over quantity with only 6 tracks this album never overstays its welcome. Musically the album
shows PT at their peak with drummer Gavin Harrison especially dominating the album.

Metropolis Part 2: Scenes From A Memory
Dream Theater's magnum opus is also the finest moment for the concept album with the album spinning a yarn about past lives
filled with sex, corruption, vice and murder in the 1920's. A highly engrossing album that is a must listen, especially for those
who love concept albums.
Liebe ist fur alle da
"Liebe" demonstrates everything that fans love about Rammstein and why they are one of the few German language bands that
can sell out arenas the world over. Perverted, catchy and put simply just so much fucking fun.

Opheliac is not a ordinary album by any stretch with this record pioneering the "Victoriandustrial" genre. Somehow the album
feels different yet familiar,a bizarre album but one that the open minded will appreciate.
