08.16.13 | I couldn't fucking stand it. What was with the Monty Python reference? In 2154? Doesnt seem all that valid.
Transit, I honestly don't know. It's not exactly the greatest album in existance, it's just a really nice, enjoyable, mellow little EP. Read the review that's up for it, might help you decide |

08.16.13 | That's too bad, looked like one of the better movies to come out this year.

Lucky man! Wish he toured in the UK more often. Check out the News article I just posted, dunno if you know but there's previews of his new album on Amazon, and all the songs say "feat. Yes". Not sure what that's about.
"What would keep someone from just getting on a computer and undoing everything that dude died for?"
This was my biggest problem. And (spoiler!) making everyone a citizen? Causes mass panic and spreads the overpopulation issue up onto Elysium, I'd assume. Pointless. |

08.16.13 | I watched movie a couple days ago. It was good, not great. 2.5 or 3 imo
Definitely a great cast, and I didn't mind the acting that much. I hated the plot. They had a great concept and could have gone in so many different directions, and instead they just went for stupid, predictable action. It was pretentious, it was deus ex machina, it was total shit in terms of the plot.
The social commentary could have been interesting, but they killed it with the over the top action that has Michael Bay's name attached to it. At least with District 9, the violence made sense.
The only thing I can say that I really appreciated about Elysium was the graphics. The fight scenes were mostly shit, but the Elysium model itself was breathtaking. Fuck Earth, I'd rather the entire movie take place from there, as the events unfold. None of the ideas in the movies go anywhere... they're presented, and nothing more. Such a waste of potential... |

08.16.13 | Not really surprised by this. Truthfully I never really got what everyone saw in D9; I never thought it was an outright bad movie, but the humor and inadvertent comedy of it didn't sit well with the racial message the film literally whacked you over the head with. Not to mention the cliched 3rd act |
demigod!
08.16.13 | agreed with Deviant 100%, a lot of that movie seemed way too overly preachy and dwonright predictable at times. also the "graphic" scenes like with the teeth falling out and him losing appendages felt forced as hell. also didn't like how they basically ditched the documentary-esque feel three quarters through the movie and it just became another action-sci-fi flick. literally abandoned everything that made the movie interesting. |

08.16.13 | D9 was such an amazing movie that I still want to see this one. |
jdennis31
08.16.13 | D9 is the only movie i've ever seen in theater without knowing what it was about ahead of time. Left it thinking it was an amazing movie but haven't watched it since it's debut. Think the documentary buildup to the 3rd act made me more invested in the ending. |

08.16.13 | It's was ok, nothing special. Kruger was enjoyable, because it's only cool to be a maniac when you're also South African. |

I was talking about the whole iron man sequence - the 3rd act, not the final 5 minutes |
