Top 25 Albums Of The Year (for Me)
25 Bury Tommorow
The of Crowns

Another guilty pleasure, this is what metalcore needs to become or evolve into.
24 Barren Earth
The Devil's Resolve

Just listened to it as I was writing this. Awesome surprise that I found a couple months back.
23Glass Cloud
The Royal Thousand

More of a guilty pleasure that harkens back to my metalcore phase.
22Cancer Bats
Dead Set on Living

Album that makes me want to break things, love it.
21 Skyharbor
Blinding White Noise: Illusion and Chaos

This band has major talent and needs to tour in America! Awesome work from all involved, including the vocalists.
20Anathema
Weather Systems

Album that relaxes me on days that are sunny and laid back. Awesome album.
19Dethklok
Dethalbum III

Took me until this year to give Dethklok an actual chance, and got their previous albums because of this.
18The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza
Danza IIII: The Alpha - The Omega

Album also burst my ear drum, mixing is weird but overall great.
17Abiotic
Symbiosis

Album that i got on a whim and burst my ear drum, this album is brutal.
16Coheed and Cambria
The Afterman: Ascension

My favorite Coheed record besides From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, really good. Saw them a month back and was impressed.
15Enslaved
RIITIIR

Album that deserves multiple listens and much respect.
14The HAARP Machine
Disclosure

Looked forward to this release for a while, short (for me) but still wanting more.
13Karybdis
From The Depths

Thank you Metal Hammer for introducing me to an awesome band that deserves much more recognition.
12Twelve Foot Ninja
Silent Machine

Obviously number 12 but the album is that good.
11Wintersun
Time I

Album that should be played for a movie soundtrack. Epic!
10 Diablo Swing Orchestra
Pandora's Pinata

Good god almighty this album has everything that I enjoy. If you enjoy genres outside of metal look into this, but it is slightly on the crazy side. Really good crazy side.
9Ne Obliviscaris
Portal of I

Masterpiece that blew me away at first listen.
8Woods of Ypres
Woods V: Grey Skies & Electric Light

I listen to this when I am to chipper.
7Sylosis
Monolith

Took a few listens but this album grew on me so much.
6Kamelot
Silverthorn

Having enjoyed Kamelot only for a couple of years, and hearing of Roy's departure from the band, with Tommy from Seventh Wonder,as the replacement intrigued me. I looked into the discography of Seventh Wonder and enjoyed every second, this is not a completely new Kamelot but one that doesn't disappoint at all.
5The Faceless
Autotheism

Having enjoyed the previous two albums by The Faceless. This one threw me for a loop, but took me a journey that I loved and didn't expect.
4Katatonia
Dead End Kings

This album is best for me in the winter months, as they are long and slightly dull. This album pulls me out of that.
3Art By Numbers
Reticence: The Musical

This album came out of nowhere and has easily made my day quite a few times. This album brings enjoyment each and every listen, it has also helped open my mind to classical music.
2 Periphery
Periphery II: This Time It's Personal

I really enjoyed Periphery's debut album but this one blew me away. To all the haters on Spencer, open your mind or don't speak.
1Between The Buried and Me
The Parallax II: Future Sequence

Between the Buried and Me continue on their path, adding another masterpiece to their arsenal. My personal favorite.
