11.10.14 | Might make my next Top 50 |

11.10.14 | Too soon for me to rank this yet—but I can already tell it's going to be an album where most of the songs take turns being my favorite. |

11.10.14 | Yeah, the lower half was pretty difficult, might change a lot. But the first 4 and especially 1 seem to have found their place pretty fast. |
Judio!
11.10.14 | can't wait to jam this album |

11.10.14 | "the lower half was pretty difficult"
I bet. It seems wrong that any of the songs should be last. They are all too good. |

11.10.14 | I'm not in that department honestly. It's all good work, but I can't really give it a 5. Many songs fail to fully impress me. All with great potential, though he clearly is too much going for melodramatic minutes at times. If I think of tracks like "Cannonball" or "Prague" he really could have thrown out the strings at times here. |

11.10.14 | I see what you are saying. I like the strings and the melodrama, so this may be a 5 for me--time will tell. |

11.10.14 | good ranking but i'd say it's
Runaway
All of the Lights

Lost In The World
Power
Dark Fantasy
Hell of a Life
Devil in a New Dress

11.10.14 | Really really hard album to rank for me but Long Long Way is definitely in my top half as well as I Don't Want to Change You. |

11.10.14 | for some reason, this is the first album i've heard by him. what stands out to me about this album is the hazy, almost whispering vocal delivery, light strumming of the guitar, the soaring strings and horns at the end of songs, the occasional tapping of some remote piano, the melodrama of it all (lyrics about wings and angels are a bit over the top), most of the songs overstay their welcome by some minutes, especially It takes a lot, which is a shame, cause lyrically it's the most grabbing song (i would say). i can see why people would really love this, i just can't really get into it as much as the 4.3 score would suggest that sputnik users do. |

11.10.14 | With all those things you mention, you would probably like his debut more. This time he overplayed it a little, often going for drama instead of sparse arrangements. They are packed with those strings at times and the horns (only really heard them in "It Takes A Lot") feel misplaced. Also his vocals are over the top at times. On his debut all that is still there, the big climaxes, the vocal outbreaks, but mostly it's dialed down to the least possible and therefore it feels a little more "honest". On the other hand this hasn't any bad track while the debut had. |
