Christian Bands You Rec'd Me

A few weeks ago I asked for some recs of christian bands. I got the usual trolls and other nonsense but I got some really good recs too. I'll be playing some of this stuff at my youth group services this week so thanks Sputnik!
1Norma Jean

WOW this was heavy. I thought As I Lay Dying was as heavy as a band could get but these guys really bring it. It's waaaay too dissonant for my taste but I know the kids who like heavier stuff will get into this
2Harm's Way

This was more my speed as far as ]metal bands go. Funny, but looking at the album art and stuff you would never think this band was christian. they have this really dark sound that kind of makes this tough to listen to but there's still a sense of melody
3Cool Hand Luke

Thanks to Baakermarten for showing me this one. Really great relaxing...indie? Alternative? I can never get these genres straight. I don't think it means anything anyway. But the lyrics are really something as far as spiritual content goes and the music's just loaded with atmosphere
4Becoming The Archetype

This was waaaay too heavy for my tastes. Just from how ugly and vicious the sound is I kind of wonder if they're really christian.

I'm beginning to notice Sputnik tends to like heavier bands. These guys managed to have a sense of melody about them that really counteracts the heavier bits and makes for a nice contrast

The singer was so terrible that I almost didn't make it past the first song I heard (Wolf Am I). But as I listened and really paid attention to the lyrics I realized that this guy was writing poetry and that he'd perfectly capture the struggles and joys of being a christian. I kind of wish he'd just write the lyrics for someone who could actually sing though

One of the best hard rock bands I've ever heard. I have no idea how I've never heard of them before but they're going to be among my favorites for a long time. Thanks to TheFonz

Another band that's going to be among my favorites. They have a really epic sort of punk sound that I've never heard before.
9Sleeping At Last

This was a little sappy for me, but I've been trying to get into the indie rock sound for a while so I guess this was pretty good.
10Demon Hunter

Another really heavy band with growling vocals. This one I didn't care for as much as the other ones mostly because the songs didn't feel as strong for some reason.
11Starflyer 59

This was a very cool indie band with a pretty chill sound. I found this band to be pretty good to take a nap to. Another one of my favorites
12As Cities Burn

Very epic metal with a lot of growling and some great singing. The guitar work on this was pretty fantastic.
