08.21.12 | Ah, I envy you. Basically half my friends have left for their semester colleges. Most UC's (other than Berkeley, to which quite a few of my friends are going) start late September, including me. I'm in the uncomfortable position of only having half my friends here, and most of my main group is gone; most of the other people I don't really hang out with on a frequent basis. Bummer.
Good luck at college, dude. I'm sure everyone else there is just as unprepared as you are. |

My friend was a pretty decent track runner (2:00.8 on the 800m), and he literally gained 55 pounds (140=>195) in college from drinking so much beer. I'm sure he also ate less healthily and exercised less, but he's sure the main reason was all the beer. Oh yeah, this happened in a period of about three months... when he showed mid-December to track practice, we were all shocked at his belly. ha |
