DrMaximus
10.18.15 | Grandeur of Hair is exactly what you're looking for though :/ |

Tyler.
10.18.15 | Weezer |
grish
10.18.15 | I dunno man, I can dig a some droning (boris, angelic process) but grandeur of hair sounds like a wall of static. maybe I'll see if it grows on me, but not quite in the mood right now (esp while studying for the GRE); EDIT: cheese13, yeah Weezer would've been another good one for this list (same with The Pillows). already jammed both the blue album and pinkerton in the past 28 hours |
grish
10.18.15 | supercoolguy64, checking those now |

Avagantamos
10.18.15 | glenn branca - the ascension |
grish
10.18.15 | after skimming the recs, I think I'm most inclined toward neil perry (they go p fuckin jammin), shellac, maybe plebeian grandstand (I'll keep them in mind for later), women, and definitely glenn branca (wish I'd heard of this guy before). also reminded me that I need to check more unwound.
also, not really a fan of grind-type stuff. but some of the recs here that are labeled with that aren't too bad. thanks for the recommendations so far, guys! |
Avagantamos
10.18.15 | daughters' s/t isn't that grindy, their earlier stuff is |

judasgoat
10.18.15 | A Place to Bury Strangers is a good pick for this. The guy in this band makes his own pedals and made one literally called Total Sonic Annihliation.
Try Exploding Head or the new one. |
grish
10.18.15 | avagantamos, I have listened to Pink but not enough. thanks for the reminder
starless, climactic, heavydirtysoul, judasgoat, I'll check those out in a bit. 'noisey guitars' might've been a misleading request (e.g. I see celtic frost as a rec, but I'm not looking so much for metal right now), but I'll look into all of these (esp that off minor rec, I love the heat death of the universe (both the album and the eventual destruction of everything we know))
edit: at the risk of ruining the formatting of this post, I edited the list of users above to include judasgoat
edit again: damn son that didn't ruin it for once, nice |
