My Biggest Musical Influences

These are the bands who got me into music. I owe a lot to them.
1As Cities Burn

One of, if not my favorite band of all time. Nothing they ever release will get
anything lower than a 4 from me solely because they've always been the
essential go-to music when I was down, they always bring me up and out
of whatever depression I'm stuck in.
2La Dispute

I may get a lot of negative feedback for this one, but let's be honest,
they're a very emotional group and I think that that is what draws people
to them. They put everything they've got into their music, and that's
something I too want to practice doing.
3Our Lady Peace

This band has an amazing endurance. Throughout all these years, they're
still around. Endurance is something I want to show as well. They have a
'never give up' attitude and a very good sound.
4Dead and Divine

I'll probably get a lot of criticism for this one too, but I'm fine with that. I
only like their slower songs, but they have a certain lyricism to them that
other bands don't show as well. That's what draws me to them.
5Dir En Grey

This band changes so much and are able to adapt to everything. They're
still popular and have managed to transcend the language barrier and gain
a fanbase all the way in Canada! I love how they cannot be pinpointed,
which brings me to my next influence

This will make people think low of me, but I don't really care. They are so
experimental that they almost create their own claustrophobic and intense
genre. I love how they continue on and how they made it big.
7Foo Fighters

I've always had an attraction to this group, I love the meanings they put
into their songs, it gets me quite often.

Finally, Flyleaf is one of the most interesting bands, at least to myself, to
come out for a long time. They put so much effort into so many of their
songs. I prefer the older stuff though.
