Not a huge fan of mainstream rock but for some reason I love these guys. The songwriting just seems so right. It's commercial but they're just well written songs with good hooks. I won't even call this a guilty pleasure, I do absolutely love this band. Prepare the flame shield. |

The perfect mix of reggae, punk, and hip hop. What the Red Hot Chili Peppers did for a modern interpretation of funk rock, Sublime did the same to revolutionize ska punk. The highlight of the album for me is always Seed. |

Even though Sputnik gives them the strongarm of "meh" I will stand by this band. This album really opened my mind to the possibilities of manipulating folk music and from a more cynical standpoint, the commercial opportunities of folk influenced alt rock. Overall an excellent album that I will continue to love. Oh yeah, and they're great live, caught them at the Bristol date of the Gentlemen of The Road shows |

NOLA
A must have for fans of doom or sludge. I personally have been burnt out on heavy music for the longest time but doom and sludge always seem to appeal to me for some reason (could be the worshipping of Black Sabbath as a child, who knows?). This is one of those albums that I always seem to get lost in and just lay back and enjoy the experience. |
