Just my opinion of the least to greatest Tim Hecker albums. Hope I don't get bombarbed too rrrmuch! Any opinions on this list is greatly appreciated. Keep in mind that I don't hate any Tim rHecker release! I love them all.... but some more than others. |

An Imaginary Country
An Imaginary Country was made right after Harmony in Ultraviolet and it was
honestly a bit of a letdown. It is more heavenly sounding than any other release
and it features little to none of the glitchy and noisy (except for maybe Sea of
Pulses (which is a song I find really hard to listen to with headphones) and Pond
Life) moments that made Tim Hecker's music so great. Other than that, musically,
this is a really good release and I listen to this often but I end up skipping a few
songs every time I listen to this. |

Ravedeath, 1972
This is Tim Hecker's newest album and it is certainly his most diverse, but that
doesn't mean that it is his strongest. Don't get me wrong, I love this album it is
beautiful and different and the organ sounds on In The Fog Part 2-3 make this
album, soundwise, incredible, but it wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped it to be and
it took a while to really dig myself into this. I may need to listen to this again to get
a second opinion but as of right now this one isn't one of his strongest, in my
opinion. |

Haunt Me, Haunt Me Do It Again
For his first release this is certainly a great triumph. The song titles follow the same
sort of style with it's "Parts" much like Ravedeath, 1972 and Harmony in Ultraviolet.
The sound is very wholesome and sleep-inducing and glitchy with it's very "buzzy"
sound and while it's really really good and beautiful sounding, but it doesn't live up
to his later releases mainly because I didn't find it as enjoyable. |

Mirages
This was for the longest time my favorite Tim Hecker release and I really liked it
because of it's distortion and overall relaxing but gritty sound. This record took me
to whole other more darker places than Harmony in Ultraviolet did. While some
parts stick out better than others, this record is amazing. Keeps your attention the
whole way through. |

Radio Amor
This release is one of his more drone and glitch based. While it doesn't have the
same strength as Harmony in Ultraviolet, the flow between one song to the next is
once again amazing and the overall sound is hypnotic and mesmerizing with it's epic
distorted and glitchy structures. |

Harmony in Ultraviolet
This is his finest work and one of my all time favorite ambient/drone albums. Every
song flows into one and evokes a new emotion with each song. There are no
favorite songs on this because every song is equally amazing from the last.
Absolutely incredible release. |
