| Albums I Think Are Golden
Mostly opinionated, this list describes albums I believe are consistently
perfect. | 1 | | Isis Panopticon
The first song hooked me instantly. I love the feel of this album | 2 | | Isis Wavering Radiant
Although different from Panopticon, this album has a unique texture that makes it
special | 3 | | Between the Buried and Me The Parallax II: Future Sequence
People may argue that it's too wanky and padded, but I personally enjoy listening
to this album all the way through | 4 | | Between the Buried and Me Colors
Classic | 5 | | Animals as Leaders Animals as Leaders
Beautiful album. CAFO and Inamorata are exceptionally great songs | 6 | | Animals as Leaders The Joy of Motion
A joy to listen to | 7 | | Converge All We Love We Leave Behind
Just awesome. I love Aimless Arrow and Glacial Pace. Great lyrics too | 8 | | Have a Nice Life The Unnatural World
An atmosphere I never heard before | 9 | | Meshuggah Nothing
Heavy and awesome, no explanation needed | 10 | | Porcupine Tree Deadwing
This album took a long while to grow on me, but it was so worth it | 11 | | Deftones Koi No Yokan
I love all of Deftones albums, but this is the only one that I LOVE every song on.
Diamond Eyes is a close second | 12 | | Godspeed You! Black Emperor F# A# Infinity
Just amazing. dat first track | 13 | | Godspeed You! Black Emperor Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
This one is just huge. I adore it. That last track. | 14 | | Tool Lateralus
Best Tool | 15 | | Tool 10,000 Days
Definitely different, but I love these songs. | 16 | | Underoath Lost in the Sound of Separation
Underoath's most mature album, lots of good ideas and nothing grows stale | 17 | | Deafheaven Sunbather
Beautifully dark | 18 | | The Ocean Pelagial
Really nice layers. I love his singing | 19 | | TesseracT One
It hooked me on to progressive metal, I really enjoy Eden | 20 | | Cult of Luna Vertikal
Very good stuff. I the Weapon is best | |

03.29.14 | I haven't gotten into Tool, but I have a question. I always see 3/4 of their albums being praised. The 4th? Undertow... does no one like that album or something? | SatanicPeanuts
03.29.14 | @Ars the album is alright just not as amazing as the other 3 | Onirium
03.29.14 | Yeah, Ars, Undertow is ok, but if you really want to get into Tool you should start by Aenima. | SatanicPeanuts
03.29.14 | or if you dont want metal shoutbox me for hip hop recs | BMDrummer
03.29.14 | @ArsMoriendi Undertow is just much more straightforward, not really progressive, more alternative. Check out Stinkfist, The Grudge, Lateralus, or Pushit as starter songs though. | NordicMindset
03.29.14 | Aenima is a great starting point. It's also their best album | NordicMindset
03.29.14 | If you like the angrier songs better like Hooker With a Penis and AEnema, you should try Undertow. If the proggier side, like Pushit, Third Eye and Eulogy grabs you, then try Lateralus next. | SatanicPeanuts
03.29.14 | Hooker with a penis is my favorite song on that album | Snake.
03.29.14 | scale the summit | mandan
03.29.14 | Lol @ 10 being consistently perfect.
It's your opinion though. | NordicMindset
03.29.14 | 15 ain't consistent imo | Onirium
03.29.14 | @dannyboy89: Actually, Deadwing is really tied with Fear as their best modern era album IMO | scottpilgrim10
03.29.14 | pelagial is still boring. | Comatorium.
03.29.14 | Some interesting choices here. I wouldn't be able to call the joy of motion perfect given that it's been out for less than a month. That being said... 3 fuck yeah! Seeing that shit live elevated it from a solid 4.5 to a perfect 5. | PitchforkArms
03.29.14 | yeah people hate btbam here, i usually dig em. | Rsetness9
03.29.14 | 9 is the only actual gold album | JamieTwort
03.29.14 | 8 is the best thing on here by quite some way. | hikingmetalpunk
03.29.14 | razor - evil invaders |
