10 Of My Favorite Users

Just 10 of my fave users. I'll throw in albums that I can associate with them to some degree.
1Pink Floyd
The Dark Side Of The Moon

TheNotrap: His patience, understanding and wisdom makes him sort of the counselor of Sputnik. He doesn't judge people, and he's willing to understand those who are having issues and frustrations on the site. Plus, he's got a good sense of humor.
2Deep Purple
Made In Japan

manosg: He has great taste in music, and although we sometimes disagree, he's very tolerant of other people's opinions, a virtue not many have. It also helps that he has extensive knowledge of classic rock.
3Jethro Tull
Thick As A Brick

JamieTwort: Like manosg, JT has extensive knowledge of classic rock. He's also well-versed in prog, jazz and blues. He's a skilled debater, there's really no point in attempting to prove him wrong. Even though I ocassionally disagree with him, I know I can look to him when it comes to having interesting music discussions.
4Pearl Jam
Ten

NightProwler: Like myself, Prowler's a big PJ fan. He's generally respectful of other people's opinions and has interesting tastes, quite similar to mine. He's very patient and tolerant, virtues that are more than useful on Sputnik.
5Prince
Purple Rain

FiveLeavesLeft (previously known as Necrotica): Necro's opinions aren't the most conventional, but in the end, that's an asset more than it is a weakness. He can get along well with people who are into earlier and later eras of bands like Opeth and Judas Priest. He listens to different kinds of music, so he's definitely one of the site's most eclectic users. While opinions on bands such as Death make him controversial, he's a highly skilled reviewer and knows how to defend his points, so you gotta hand it to the man there.
6Black Sabbath
Master Of Reality

NeroCorleone80: Nero's well-known for his penchant for heavy riffs (his fave band is Black Sabbath, so that tells it all). He has good taste, and while he's mostly into metal and prog, he's also willing to try other styles of rock, so that makes for interesting discussions. He can sometimes seem a bit gung-ho on his opinions, but he's really very respectful and is willing to have a civilized exchange with someone who disagrees with him; although he'll stand firm on his views.
7Metallica
Master Of Puppets

BigHans: Hans is by far one of the most legendary users on the site. His lists are among the best ever, and he's just an all-around cool dude. He's used to disagreements, and like JT and Necro, knows how to present a good argument. He's particularly famous for his band comparison lists, which, to this day, still get bumped now and again.
8Rush
Hemispheres

sonictheplumber: sonic is a bit like Sir Winston Churchill: he tells it straight. Some people might have a hard time getting used to his straightforwardness, but he's also got a good sense of humor and doesn't take music discussions too seriously. He's well-versed in prog and metal, and can give you detailed descriptions of every single Rush album (from the debut to Hold Your Fire at least).
9Death
Human

KILL: Like Notrap, KILL (in spite of the first impression his username may give) is one of the most patient users on the site. He's willing to hear your issues/hardships on the site, and his good sense of humor never fails to cheer you up. Also like Notrap, he's an authority on metal, and knows almost as much about prog.
10Genesis
Selling England By The Pound

Jethro42: Jethro is the humble Prog Authority. Looking to get into more prog? Go to Jethro and he'll give you a rec. Trust me, the man's an encyclopedia on the matter. He also knows a lot about the histories of bands like Genesis, Yes, and King Crimson. Need more prog? He's just a shoutbox message away.
