Queensrycheology (revised)

The albums of Queensryche in order of rpreference.
12Queensryche
Dedicated to Chaos

This is a disgraceful mess. Truly embarrasing to see these prog-metal
pioneers stoop so low.
11Queensryche
Operation: Mindcrime II

Not as terrible as I consider it, but still leaves to be desired. It feels
sloppily put together, and has little replay value. You're better off picking
your favorites rather than jamming the whole thing again. Best song: "All
the Promises"
10Queensryche
Q2K

This isn't too bad, but the leads are weak. Kelly Gray is possibly the worst
guitarist the band ever hired. Best song: "When the Rain Comes"
9Queensryche
Tribe

Not too inspired, but still a decent record. Best song: "Rythym of Hope"
8Queensryche
American Soldier

Easily the best album after DeGarmo left and before the band's split. Still
feels watered-down, but it's worthwhile. Best song: "Unafraid"
7Queensryche
Hear in the Now Frontier

The last record of the DeGarmo Era. Many despise it, but I think it's a
worthwhile listen. Best song: "Hero"
6Queensryche
Promised Land

A very emotional record. It's very stripped-down when compared to it's
predecessors, but it still has great songs. Best song: "Out of Mind"
5Queensryche
Queensryche EP

This is a fantastic EP. It's amazing how this band could deliver such an
astonishing debut. Best song: "Nightrider"
4Queensryche
Rage for Order

This is a fantastic album, but there are two songs on it which I don't like
much. Other than that, it's essential listening for fans. Best song:
"London"
3Queensryche
Empire

I'll probably get flamed for putting it above RFO, but I enjoy it slightly
more. It's definitely the last essential album by the band. Best song:
"Della Brown"
2Queensryche
The Warning

It took me a while to appreciate how fantastic this album is. With blazing
riffs and high-energy performance, this just might be the band's most
underrated effort. Best song: "NM 156"
1Queensryche
Operation: Mindcrime

One of the best albums ever made. Perfect from top to bottom. Ending
right where it begins, it tells a great story, has impressive lyrics and epic
musicianship. You should hear this before you die. Best song: "The
Mission"
