| Metallicanomy
The albums of Metallica in order of preference. | 9 | | Metallica St. Anger
Sucks. | 8 | | Metallica Reload
Sucks. | 7 | | Metallica Load
Ain't My Bitch is an okay track, but I really don't care for the rest. | 6 | | Metallica Death Magnetic
Death Magnetic does have elements that trace back to the band's first
five records. But it feels rather formulaic, and I personally got only
about halfway through it. | 5 | | Metallica ...And Justice For All
This album has a similar problem to MoP: repetitiveness. While there
are memorable moments on here, the album is all in all a tough listen.
Best song: One | 4 | | Metallica Metallica
It was close between this and AJFA, but I'll put this higher on account of
catchy songs. Yes, it's not the band's most inspired effort, but there are
good moments. Best song: Nothing Else Matters | 3 | | Metallica Master of Puppets
Considered as the band's most influential record. MoP has great songs,
but in my view it is too repetitive and gets old quickly. Hence the third
place spot. Best song: Master of Puppets | 2 | | Metallica Kill 'Em All
Metallica's debut is raw and agressive. It also has some of the best riffs
the band created. It misses the top spot due to the production quality.
But second best isn't too bad. Best song: Seek and Destroy | 1 | | Metallica Ride the Lightning
Ride the Lightning is easily Metallica's finest hour. This album has a
chilling atmosphere, use of acoustic passages, and a highly inspired
performance. The production is also excellent. The band will never be
ble to top this. Best song: Creeping Death | |

06.13.13 | I'm thinking of redoing my previous rankings. And yes, I've been listening to this band for a while, but 1 and 2 are what I care most for. Hearing them in full again did indeed help in my assesment of them. | oltnabrick
06.13.13 | Stop
| MO
06.13.13 | lol at 3 and 4 being better than 5 | XingKing
06.13.13 | I enjoy this list. It's originality soothes me | manosg
06.13.13 | I'm not passing judgement or anything but Sputnik is the place where it's cool to bash MoP and Black Album (two of the most influential metal albums) and glorify Kill 'em All.
Anyway, I agree with your 6-9 but I'd have a different top 5. | JamieTwort
06.13.13 | Pleased to see Kill 'em All so high. | Mad.
06.13.13 | Production on 1 is horrible | Friday13th
06.13.13 | @manosg yeah I don't get it either. @Madcreator RTL only has like 10x better production than Kill 'em All, Justice, and basically every other metal album released at that point. I'm not gonna flip out on these Tallica rankings as long as the top 5 are the first 5. | KjSwantko
06.13.13 | Justice at 5. What the fuck is this shit | Friday13th
06.13.13 | Yeah that spot should be reserved for Lulu | bloc
06.14.13 | Awesome, I totally agree with the first 5. Don't really care about the rest. | TheExodusAttack
06.15.13 | Hmm, I honestly don't see how Justice would be considered repetitive and I definitely don't see how Master is. Mine would be 5, 2, 1, 3, 4.
Good to see a different list on here. Its usually either Ride, Master, Kill, Justice, Black. Or its some bullshit with Kill at number 9, Justice at 6, and/or Load at 2. | JudsonTrenholm
12.18.13 | I always hated the black album. | Minus.
12.18.13 | How is 4 ranked higher than 5 wtf |
