When Members Leave Bands

I wanted to make a list of the times in music history, mostly with the alternative metal genre, that members left and it affected me, as well as affected some fans. Feel free to discuss moments where this has happened to you with your favorite artists.
1Dance Gavin Dance
Downtown Battle Mountain

Jonny Craig
The first song I ever heard by DGD was Times New Roman and i really enjoyed it. I continued listening to Downtown Battle Mountain and it quickly became one of my top albums to listen to at that time and for years to come. I loved the instrumentation, as well as the interplay between Jon and Jonny. This, however, was in 2008 when I was listening to this. Jonny had already left the band by that time, but me, not knowing much about the band and having sub-par internet, didn't know about it right away. It sucked at first, but I got over it for reasons...
2Dance Gavin Dance
Happiness

Kurt Travis
After adjusting to Kurt Travis after Jonny left and quickly getting over the fact that Jonny was gone, Kurt leaves after two albums.....sh*t. It was funny, because me and my friend at the time were talking about how we wanted the old DGD back. We got what we asked for, but we ended up missing Kurt. He was such a breath of fresh air to the band, adding an edge to the songs that they didn't have before.
3A Lot Like Birds
No Place

KURT TRAVIS(AGAIN)
After having a dispute with the band about a change in direction, Kurt Travis, after releasing what could be considered the bands best album to date, leaves A Lot Like Birds. After loving Conversation Piece and No Place (and Kurt in general), I was so pissed off at this. Especially when considering how the band just switched up on him without informing him. This comes along with the band's departure from screaming and their respective genre all together. Now, Kurt doesn't have a band and it sucks because I really want to hear him continue performing this brand of experimental post-hardcore music. I wonder if he'll ever join another band...
4Stolas
Allomaternal

Jason Weiche
This one hurt as well. Jason Weiche leaves Stolas after releasing two albums, both of which were great in my opinion(with Allomaternal being a bit better). He had such unique unclean vocals. Listening to Stolas, his vocals became one of my favorite parts of the band beside's the instrumentation. The raw intensity, coupled with his singing voice was a great addition to the band. The interplay between him and the drummer was great too. But alas, we're left with one vocalist and no more screaming from what I've heard.
5SikTh
Opacities

Justin Hill
I was disappointed to hear that Justin had left SikTh shortly after the release of Opacities, which was a great comeback for the band. Once again, another unique vocalist leaves the band, but this time, he's actually replaced. The new song that dropped about a month ago wasn't terrible, but their new vocalist sounds a bit awkward.
