01.03.12 Top 10 Of The Ra Top 50

Top 10 Of The Ra Top 50

Big blue has spoken but I've reordered it based solely on rmy opinion. rProbably ended up with less minimal more fun
1Blawan
Getting Me Down

Because they were right. Best served by Pearson Sound on the RBMA hill at
Bestival.
2Joy O
Sicko Cell

Because I'm the information. Cocaine Powder. Best served by the man himself at
Bestival.
3Julio Bashmore
Battle For Middle You

Because the little ginger from Bristol got soul. Best served by the man himself at
Bestival.
4Burial
Street Halo

Because it's Burial. Hell Bevan could scream into a microphone for 4 hours and I'd buy
it. But instead we were treated with a gently progressive continuation of possibly the most
distinctive sound in electronic music since Kraftwerk.
5Zomby
Natalias Song

Because he made one of the most original albums of last year. Best served on
headphones walking through your hometown in the rain.
6Pangea
Hex

Because I reckon that Pangea, Ben UFO and Pearson Sound will eventually snap together
like the Power Rangers of bass music. Although I'd settle for amusing and innovative club
bangers instead. Best served on a Funktion One.
7Mosca
Bax

Because the wobble ain't dead and garage lives. Best served as an antidote to
repetition on Rinse FM.
8Martyn
Masks

Because this song forgives him for the slight slump from his superb debut. Best
served skipping down Worship St to forget about work.
9Scuba
Adrenalin

Because it's a glimpse of the future when underground goes big room. Best
served as an unexpected surprise in a set of utter turnips.
10Peverelist
Dance Til The Police Come

Because Pev got the drums to make your booty go smack. Best served with any
Ramadanman song for percussion overload.
