|Goin' Kvlt: Best Black Metal Albums|
Since my recent dig of Deafheaven (which I've been knowing for about a year right now, but it finally seems to hit the spot), it's time for a favorite black metal albums list. Big up.
Welcome to Hell
A black metal list is worth nothing without the kings of black metal (who didn't even play black metal). Destroy everything.
The most brutal, aggressive and anxious black metal album ever. Even after all those years, this album turns my head ice cold.
Hypnotic, trance-like black metal. Kings.
Roads to Judah
This is way too beautiful to be considered black metal. I hate the whole 'blackened shoegaze' scene, but this is a diamond in the rough.
In the Constellation of the Black Widow
Pure black metallic aggression combined with death grooves and grindcore spasms. Love it.
Actually hardcore punk with lots of black metal and a rock 'n roll attitude.
Groovy black metal that isn't that heavy, but rocks like hell. Pun intended.
Under the Sign of Hell
Nothing special, Gorgoroth just blasts everybody's house down.
Hated by many, loved by more. Despite their stupid gimmick, V: Halmstad is a black metal masterpiece.
Heaven in Flames
Black metal like everybody made it in the nineties, but with great songwriting and a fantastic ambiance.
