It's true that they were really slow out of the gate this season with all the new acquisitions and lack of coaching direction (basically, the team was being told to clamp down and trap all the time) The offense was really slow until the coaching change (December 17th). During the final quarter of the season LA had one of the most potent offenses. Also in the playoffs so far.

I was reading an article about it a couple weeks ago. Each home playoff game a team has brings in about another $1M in profits, this is the reason they keep saying they're "going for it this season" when they know they have no chance at a cup. They're just thinking about money and hoping to slide in at 7th or 8th. Calgary is a loser franchise and that's why Iginla wants out.

Having absolutely no defense doesn't help his cause. It's like he's in a fucking shootout for the entire length of the game. The lack of defense is absolutely embarrassing to Penguins fans. As much as I hate the Flyers, and I really fucking hate them, they deserve to sweep the series. Even though their defense kinda blows too, they're not on the level of how bad the Penguins are right now.

Hawks 04.16.12	Most of them have been off of bullshit redirects though that could've been prevented by the defense doing their jobs and getting it out of the zone. Maybe 10% is too low, but still the majority of the blame deserves to be placed on the defense.

KSK1 05.03.12	I don't blame him entirely, but you can't say that his poor performance has nothing to do with the Flyers poor play. First goal was easily stoppable he should've had it. Second goal was a bad turnover but it's the goaltenders who are reliable when in bad situations like that that win games/cups. He's way too inconsistent. He gets in a groove and as soon as he falters all his momentum is gone and his game falls apart. NJ is eating them alive right now with that forecheck but sometimes it's up to the goaltender to keep them in it while the rest of the team finds their stride and that's where he fails.
KjSwantko 05.03.12	Yeah that's true; he's no Quick, Smith, or Rinne that's for sure. But at the same time those teams are responsible defensively which makes it easy for the goaltender. The Flyers just aren't good defensively. I agree though, Bryzgalov isn't helping their cause by any means.
