Desert In Siberia

So I have pretty much decided that I will start my band finally and have mostly worked out influences, styles, etc. The name of my band will be Desert in Siberia no matter what happens. Basically atm its just me and a great friend who plays drums. I can play bass so for recording all we'll need is vox. List is influences and what the present to me.
1Underoath
Define the Great Line

On this UO mixed metalcore/post-hardcore with post-rock and that has had a huge effect on my musical ambitions.
2Guthrie Govan
Erotic Cakes

Jazz Fusion guitar player, and one of the best overall guitarists ever.
3Sigur Ros
( )

My favorite post-rock album
4Santana
Caravanserai

Another great jazz fusion band with Carlos Santana the guitarist being a superb jazz fusion guitarist
5Life in Your Way
Kingdoms

For da hardcore side, bro.
6The Aristocrats
The Aristocrats

Guthrie Govan's band. yep.
7Scale the Summit
The Collective

Chris Letchford is damn good and has tons of effect on my guitar playing.
8Architects
Hollow Crown

if you know me, this is obvious. The influence won't really come through musically, but I couldn't not add it and plus guitar tunings/techniques for this
9August Burns Red
Constellations

Another obvious choice if you know me.
10The Police
Reggatta de Blanc

Andy Summers m/ I love how he plays guitar.
11The Contortionist
Exoplanet

This band for how they incorporate the jazz sections and ambient sections. So the presentation of my music will probably end up being in the same vein as this
12Rush
Hemispheres

yeah, its Rush. I'll fit them in there somehow
13Cynic
Traced in Air

Jazz metal? well of course.
14The Number Twelve Looks Like You
Worse than Alone

More jazz metal, this time with heavy metalcore/grind edge? Why not.
15Modern Life Is War
Witness

Moar for da xc, brah.
