Slow moving-delicate nuances of sounds and textures. Olafur oh Olafur! Won't thy let down thy hair! This is thy classical minimalistic tits. An interesting genre in itself in releation to emotions, and thy Olafur gives his tout de fart performance on this ep release. Truly an enjoyable gem recommended for soft-non ear wax filled ears. 3.5/5

Experimental Ambient/Noise/Drone/Jazz and just plain out tits would describe it best. This latest offering of pure virgin like sass "a" is basically bethooven 2012. No not zippidy doo-dah deh, we're talking the equivalent of music beyond its time. Ladies and gentlemen this is that chick you've been waiting for. You know the one who's been looking at you from across the room and says with her eyes, "me, you, in fantasy land, now". Yes Mrs. Mcguilacuttie, this is the one. 4.5/5

The Place where the Black Stars Hang

Some fine ambience here. One of Lustmord's finest achievements. This is dark and entrancing and takes dedication to complete as this is one long a-ss album but it's worth it if you're in the mood for mind travel. This is comparable to being in a spaceship with darkened lights and little creepy creature-like beings fondling your testi hairs. In other ways it's comparable to watching Angel Black train for a gonad cupping contest. Check 'er, she's worth it. 3.5/5

Funerals from the Astral Sphere

Atmospheric symphonic black metal amongst the finest, and within the genre, one of the best releases of 2011. The melodies are almost never stagnant. Haze filled riffs build and descend with synths. Various folk-like elements sprout up from time to time, all within context of the albums purose; a grand journey through a world that is filled with imaginative arts and colors. Truly a superb release worth checking by any lover of music and especially bm, folk, and classical fans. 4/5
5Empyrium
A Retrospective

One of folk-metals finest compilation albums and an extremely powerful effort by Empyrium. The songs here are graceful and melodious. The atmospheres focus on the common darkened-depressive moods that Empyrium are known for. The high attention to emotional detail shines through with blissful layerings, dynamic decibal shifts, musicianship that is focused on mood rather than audible display, and a group of musicians who are fueled by their desire to convey a sense of music that stands seperate from anything you've heard before. Ones could argue that the album may be boring from time to time but when properly analyzed, this latest offering fills plently of voids. If anything this album is a perfect example of how to create music that isn't boring while remaining in theme. I highly recommend this for everyone. 4.5/5

Garten Der Unbewusstheit

Doom. There is a rather powerful display of energy here. It's controlled, reserved, and effective. Do not be turned away by the spacious clean guitars at the begining. Every notes seems to serve a purpose. This is doom that takes a while to build up but when you look at the whole picture, being the whole album, you'll realize how amazing this latest release by Corrupted really is. Enter these doors with open minds. 4/5

New doom from 2012 in the vein of Sabbath, Candlemass, and Saint Vitus. There are effective riffs here and the production is tasty. Somtimes the songs get a little boring and this seems to be a step back from their previous LP. If this band took their riffs further with creativity and a stronger emphasis on dynamics they could be doing greater things. 3/5
