Unanimous Sputnik Opinions?
Is there any unanimous opinion on Sputnik? List is what I've found
Master of Puppets
Some people will point to the weaknesses in "The Thing That Should Not Be" and "Leper Messiah" as some weak points in this album, but I can't imagine giving this less than a 4.5 just because of how the career turned out and two songs (which I actually like)
There is something intrinsicly wrong with you if you don't enjoy this.
Although, seriously this is great
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
WE ALL GOT WOOD AND NAILS and we sleep inside of this machine...
My World 2.0
Apparantly, according to this fine establishment, JB's new musical direction is on par with other great musical evolutions like Phil Anselmo joining Pantera or the Beastie Boys deciding to rap.
(Enter Suicide Silence after another uninspired set at some random titty bar)
(Phone Rings, Mitch Lucker answers)
Manager: Hey Mitch, I've got great news! Emmure wants to do a split LP with you guys.
Lucker: Emmure? The writers of the classic lyric "I keep cashing checks/Snapping necks"?
Manager: Yes, the same.
Lucker: (Jumping up and down emphatically causing his Bieb-do to flop around.) YES!!! It's GONNA BE CHUG CITY!
(World explodes in anticipation of said LP. Everyone lives happily ever after. End Scene.)
|6||Lou Reed and Metallica|
(Enter Metallica after a great set at some random large stadium oversees, played to a group of drunken 50 year olds.)
(Phone Rings. James Hetfield answers)
Manager: Hey James, great news. Lou Reed, that guy who randomly played with you guys that one time wants to do a split LP.
Hetfield: You mean Lou Reed, the writer of the immortal line "But she never lost her head/Even when she was giving head"?
Hetfield: YES!!! Its gonna be.....
Lars: (Not looking amused and calculating the illegal to legal download ration of this possible collaboration) It's gonna be what, James?
Hetfield: I don't know. Interesting to say the least.
(World should have exploded because of massive confusion. End Scene)
Hey, I'm a relatively new user. Underground recs would be cool.
The more I read this the more I wanted you to die.
What you said got more stupid as the list progressed. But 3 is amazing.
ignore Funeralopolis
his opinions are oblivious
lulu was actually pretty good if you ignore the metallica shit. The lyrics and vocals are fucking brilliant.
@wonarabbit It wasn't worth a 1 but the only thing wierder than that collaboration would be if Skrillex went back in time to work with Beethoven.
JB's new musical direction
what was his old one I thought it was the same boring pretty boy pop shit
If you're looking for unanimous opinions, not entirely sure but: 1 - mixed, 2 and 3 - epic (with hipster naysayers), 4/5/6 - lolbad/lol/baddd
I don't like 1, 2, and 3 that much. I guess there is something wrong with me.
cool topic hope theres a good discussion!
i hate everything by metallica after their first album
1 is the album that got me into metal (along with Reign in Blood) and music in general. and I still think it's in the top 5 metal albums ever recorded. I don't enjoy 2 as much as everyone else does, but I love 3!
I won't even bother to comment on 4,5 and 6
1 is good, but pretty damn overrated imo. Lightning will always be better.
Skrillex and the Doors is pretty weird.
TRAPPED UNDER ICEEEEEEEEEEEE|
yes, there is
cannibal corpse rules
i still wear my reign in blood shirt from time to time
I think 1 is meh, I hate 2, 3 and 5 and I actually find 6 interesting.
^Not sure if troll...
"Lightning will always be better."
