Premo Songwriting

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. Good songwriting is the difference between a song you listen to as a phase and one that sticks with you your whole life.
1Iron Maiden
2 Minutes to Midnight

2:45 to 4:10 really make this one stand out in terms of songwriting
2Santana
Se A Cabo

So varied
3Shpongle
Monster Hit

Most Shpongle songs have superb songwriting, so this one was hard to choose.
4Tool
The Pot

Parabola and Lateralus at close seconds, but The Pot takes the cake here for being truly and thoroughly unique, even from other Tool songs.
5Yes
Roundabout

If you've heard this song, no explanation is necessary
6Black Sabbath
War Pigs
7Death
Flesh and the Power it Holds
8The Beatles
Come Together

Not huge into the Beatles but I figured I'd be crucified if I didn't include one song. Really, this song was excellently written.
9Kendrick Lamar
Kush & Corinthians (His Pain)

Many would scratch their heads at this, but this song is all about buildup and the structure really accents the emotion Kendrick's trying to convey
10Led Zeppelin
Dazed and Confused

Because Stairway would've been a cop out. Actually, this song is just as well written IMO
11The Mars Volta
Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt

Immaculate
12Opeth
Bleak

Just about any Opeth song is at least as well written as any others on this list, but I had to choose one.
13Radiohead
Paranoid Android

Lucky number 13
