07.24.13 | Normally I listen to music whilst playing games, but Infinite was too rich an experience, hence the list of post-completion music |

07.24.13 | goty no doubt. |
PumpBoffBag
07.24.13 | Most definitely. The ending is one of the most rewarding gaming moments I've ever had, very very impressive. I actually think it tops the first one |

07.24.13 | congrats
2 rules |

07.24.13 | original Bioshock is better, except for its underwhelming ending |

07.24.13 | bioshit: infinite |
PumpBoffBag
07.24.13 | story's definitely the high point, agreed, but the gameplay's varied enough to keep me intrigued.
and 2 rules? seriously?
2 was such a piece of shit. 1 had a good ending but I knew what the ending was before I started, so wasn't the biggest surprise |

07.24.13 | Bioshock 2 wasn't that bad. No where near original or Infinite but still pre good. |

07.24.13 | yea it was amazing. one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've had in a looong time. |
PumpBoffBag
07.24.13 | 1 and Infinite completely understood that story should serve gameplay, and as such, despite any shortcomings, both games are highly entertaining experiences. 2 feels churned out and (to me at least) felt like a chore to play thanks to the horribly repetitive gameplay. I think that's why I'm so glad Infinite doesn't require the 2nd game to be played beforehand; only 1 (ideally) or at least a working knowledge of the concept. Yahtzee's review of 2 pretty much sums up my feelings on it |

I was so taken aback. I don't think that any game has ever made was jaw literally drop by what happened in the story. When Booker said "no I'm both" I literally gasped and it hit the floor. And then it ends. I'm like WHAT THE FUCK? lol but yea the story was definitely the high point. The gameplay was pretty standard. |
PumpBoffBag
07.24.13 | it's made all the more impressive by the fact I was braced for a twist the whole time, and I was still completely captured by the ending. Standard gameplay? possibly, but I never found it dull and personally I thought Columbia was a more immersive, magical environment to explore than Rapture. Like a very twisted version of a Disney theme or something. |
Mongi123
07.24.13 | Yea standard doesn't mean dull I still enjoyed it. It's funny that Gamespot said that you'll be ready
for a twist, but when it finally comes, you won't be ready for it. I loved both the settings. Rapture
was so claustrophobic, dark, sinister, and scary. Columbia was so pretty and usually bright. The
developers really know how to create a fictional world to get immersed in.
Anyway GOTY is definitely between Infinite and The Last Of Us so far. |
PumpBoffBag
07.24.13 | Yeah Rapture was cool, but after visiting it twice I was ready for a change of scenery. Interested to see what they'll pull out of the bag next. Unfortunately not played The Last Of Us as I don't have a PS3, but it does look good. I'm kinda excited for Watch Dogs atmo, done correctly that concept could be mind-blowing |
Mongi123
07.24.13 | Yea it could be cool. The Last Of Us is a masterpiece. Def between those two. But GTAV is yet to come out so we'll see haha |
PumpBoffBag
07.24.13 | oh yeah, forgot about GTAV. Will obviously rule haha. I actually think The Evil Within looks pretty solid too, regardless of the shitty interviews and footage. On to Spec Ops: The Line for me now though, I'm told there's some pretty intense emotional content in that |
