| Top 10 Of 2007
Pretty self explanatory, my faves from 2007. | | 1 | | The White Stripes Icky Thump
Sadly their last album, but it was quite a spectacular album to me. Only one song I didn't care for too much, and the rest was gold. | | 2 | | Spoon Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
Spoon is one of the most consistent acts out there right now, and this is proof of that. Their best album since "Kill the Moonlight." | | 3 | | Radiohead In Rainbows
At one point I thought they were entirely done with music, and then they dropped this and it was a reminder of how great this band is. "Bodysnatchers" and especially the b-side "Bangers & Mash" are staples to any Radiohead mix I make. | | 4 | | Pinback Autumn of the Seraphs
Another band sorely missed these days, Pinback are one of the greatest indie rock acts for the last 15 years. Remarkably consistent. | | 5 | | Modest Mouse We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
If this were to be their final album, its a great swan song. "Spitting Venom" is epic. | | 6 | | Deerhunter Cryptograms
My first taste of this band. Since then, I've been hooked. Very few can rival the intensity and masterful songwriting, save for possibly Radiohead. | | 7 | | No Age Weirdo Rippers
An abrasive debut, but a necessary predecessor. | | 8 | | Arctic Monkeys Favourite Worst Nightmare
Underrated, completely. | | 9 | | Ted Leo and the Pharmacists Living with the Living
Not his greatest effort but certainly an enjoyable listen, especially with underrated tracks like "Bomb.Repeat.Bomb." | | 10 | | Panda Bear Person Pitch
Quite the polarizing album. You either love it or you hate it apparently. I enjoy it still. It's not the ground breaking effort some have made it out to be, but it's definitely a worthwhile listen. | |
