2011 Isn't That Bad

I'm getting sick and tired of people saying 2011 sucks so far. It doesn't suck at all. I've listed 15 albums that I enjoy so far. Some of you might share my opinions, and some of you are gonna rip on me for what I listen to. That's the way it goes. Here we go.
1La Dispute and Koji
Never Come Undone

La Dispute's amazing. Koji's amazing. This split is amazing. Koji's cover of
Biomusicology is so catchy and so great, as well is his other track Peacemaker.
While the two songs on this 7" by La Dispute aren't their best, they still show
outstanding musicianship. Sunday Morning, At A Funeral is a good track. Last
Blues is basically an acoustic version of their full length's track Last Blues For
Bloody Knuckles. All four tracks are enjoyable.
2Asking Alexandria
Reckless And Relentless

I don't enjoy this as much as I did Stand Up And Scream, but it's still good. It's
less scene and "Warped Tour-ish" and I like that about it. The clean vocals are
much better.
3Emmure
Speaker Of The Dead

Yes. I do like Emmure. While this album is nowhere near as good as the first
two albums, it's way better than Felony, and that's all I really wanted for this
album as I knew they would never return to their loved Goodbye To The Gallows
sound. It's time so say Hello To The Gallows again dudes.
4August Burns Red
Leveler

While it's not as good as Messengers, it's barely below Constellations. I do enjoy
this album and I like how they seemed to "step up" their musicianship. The
guitar is more creative and interesting than before and Matt Greiner is a
machine. The vocals are great as well.
5Dr. Acula
Slander

This album is funny as hell. I love the vocals and the guitar work. Slander is way
better than anything they've ever put out, and I love it.
6Defeater
Empty Days And Sleepless Nights

No matter how hard I try, I cannot get over how awesome this album is. It's
just so good.
7Chelsea Grin
My Damnation

The high vocals on this album are silly as hell but I love the album. It's got
some mean breakdowns. Chelsea Grin's one of those "love or hate" bands, but I
happen to love them. This album's tight.
8Sleeping With Sirens
Let's Cheers To This

It's definitely not as good as their first album but it's still really fun to listen to
and catchy. I'm sort of disappointed that they, for the most part, ditched the
screaming but I love the vocals anyhow. The instrumentation is pretty simple
and straightforward but the outcome of the album is positive for me.
9For The Fallen Dreams
Back Burner

Their best album. This album makes you want to keep listening and the clean
vocals sound great. The breakdowns are nice and groovy and I love the whole
thing. Good stuff.
10Legend
The Pale Horse

I gotta say, I like Valediction just a little bit more, but this album's great. It
didn't disappoint me at all and every track is good in some way. I just don't
understand why Caleb Shomo of Attack Attack! is featured on Shadow Stalker
alongside of the ex-Bury Your Dead and the Impending Doom vocalists. It just
doesn't make any sense. Most likely a label decision.
11Sleeping Giant
Kingdom Days In An Evil Age

This is so much better than their other albums. Every track is great including
the Deluxe Edition bonus tracks. Check this out. It's suuuuper Christian but it's
still good.
12The Air I Breathe
Great Faith In Fools

I'm really surprised at how much I like this album. The EP was decent I guess
but this is album is so good. It's got awesome instrumentation and the vocals
are very nice. The breakdowns are really memorable and the lyrics are good
especially the breakdown lines. Some parts are very similar to Between The
Buried And Me's Alaska.
13The Plot In You
First Born

This band was better when they were under the name Vessels but the re-
release of the Wifebeater EP had me really stoked for this album. It isn't the
best album but it's still good. It holds your interest and it's one of those albums
to listen to when you're in a good mood or in the school hallway. Breakdowns.
14Born Of Osiris
The Discovery

The New Reign was such a sick EP. But after the disappointment of A Higher
Place, I wasn't too sure about this album. I was wrong. This album is so good
and so technical. It's super heavy and I love it.
15 Darasuum
Bite Back

So far, they've only released a two song preview of this album but it sounds
super awesome and I love this band. Their self-titled album is amazing. I love
the vocals. Great hardcore.
