12.08.12 | ok bro so I finished checking out ur demo in full:
Positives - your choice of musical notes are quite enjoyable and sometimes impressive. I even appreciated your attention to dynamics as the transitions from build ups to drop downs were sometimes done perfectly. The music itself is about a 3.5-4 good job.
Negatives - what u actually used to execute the music. It's obvious the music is almost fully programmed it seems. And while I like that new artists are able to create music with little means the glitchy factor of the notes and drums are always almost a turn off for me. The tone in the drums could use a bit of tweaking as well, less treble on the snare and a slight increase on the mid.
Overall - good job in the musical department but if the instruments were real instruments I would like this a whole lot better. Also, going more experimental over what's commonly accepted as proper genre would complement your expressions well imo. |

12.08.12 | I would have recorded properly, but I don't have the right gear to do it via my laptop yet, and my friend (who plays bass) is busy; we should get an album (with more songs) out around February |

12.08.12 | I don't mind listening to tuxguitar files, as a guitarist i hear them quite often. Would sound a lot better recorded though |

12.08.12 | Ah, thanks bro, great to get some serious feedback after so long writing. Yeah, I know the tones suck (it was fully programmed), it'll sound far better when I properly record it. I'll try and be more inventive/experimental as I get better as a songwriter, but for now I'm just doing what feels right (sometimes using weird time sig combos to make it more of a challenge though) |

12.08.12 | That's good, challenging what we accept as 'right' and how we came to those conclusions is always a good way to get thinking outside the box. I think you're on a good path bro and its good u already have a foundation of songs so that when u do start the serious real instrument recording process you'll have something to go off of. Keep it up, I look forward to hearing what u do with your final project. |

12.08.12 | Thanks man, I'll do my best to make the album as good as it can |

johnnydeking29
12.08.12 | Yeah lol, the whole thing is recorded directly from the programme playing the tabs |
