Bands People Should Know
This album is an incredible screamo album that for some reason went entirely unnoticed. This bands range of sounds is vast, ranging from delicate post-rock to blistering metal riffs. The screaming and singing are awesome FFO: Saetia, Circle Takes The Square, Converge, Pg. 99.
The Joyless Parson
One of the best deathmetal bands I've ever heard, this album is a progressive metal masterpiece. The high screams on this have a black metal feel. There is a very prominent classical influence in Orgones music, but is always done very tastefully. Seriously, if you like deathmetal check this out.
Orgone's first album is more accesible and has a few hints of metalcore to it but trust me it is a masterpiece.
Lessons of Mesopotamia
Very unknown Technical Metalcore/Mathcore/Post-Metalcore band from Dayton, Oh. Betrayer is an incredible album. If you are a fan of Amia Venera Landscape it should be right up your alley.
Full Body Contortion
Dried Up Goliathan
This Is the Second Death
The production on this album gives off a Pig Destroyer vibe, not as clean and polished as Betrayer but the songs on this album are incredible.
These Are The Paths That We Choose
This band sounds like they came right out 70's Stoner-rock scene. Been listening to this album for years and it still doesn't get old. If you dig psych-rock this is a must have.
Dead Meadow's debut album and IMO their 2nd best release thus far.
Summer in Abaddon
You need a summer jamz, look no further. Don't know why this band isn't that well known. I recommend this album to everyone, had to pin down what genre they are, I'll say their sexy dance party indie pop.
Sup sput dudes, hows your summer goin?
interesting stuff here
Pinback is great. Will check the rest of these.
1-5 were the main one's I intended for this list, 6-8 were later realizations. Read the descriptions and hopefully you find the one('s) that's right for you!
Sounds Like I would like 1,2 and 4
Will definitely check those 3 out
Summer in abaddon is the shit
Im not a big fan of Orgone, regardless list is awesome. I love AVL so im intrigued by Harlots.
So Sika Redem and Pinback are fucking awesome. Thanks a bunch dude.
No problem, glad you enjoy em.
dl'ing 1, 2 and 4 now. Will listen tomorrow and if if i like em' i'll probably dl the rest aswell
Dead Meadow rules.
I remember when I found Pinback awhile ago. I was never that drawn to them, but they are good, no doubt.
The Goliath is very different from The Joyless Parson, it definitely has some metalcore influence to it, for those of you who are more into that genre I really suggest you check that one out instead. Just check out the 2nd link there for Vomited Hyacinths, that one should click with you from the beginning even tho it starts out soft, the ebb & flow and the build up is awesome, then shit gets metal.
yeah pinback is cool and theyve got a sick name
Haha yeah Pinkback is super awesome, sort of a last minute pick once I realized I left an open slot on the list.
