was thinking today after one of the, i'm gonna say... 3 (?)... Everclear songs that I like a lot + happen to have in my itunes came up on shuffle: what heppened to these kats? like them, Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls, and Third Eye Blind all occupied really similar spaces in that they played inoffensive pop rock that good little boys could share with their grandmas... except I was a bad little boy + was into metal + granny hated that shit.
|2||Goo Goo Dolls|
Dizzy Up The Girl
|3||Third Eye Blind|
So Much For The Afterglow
|Matchbox gets all the mainstream love/90's shouts|
Goo Goo + Third Eye get all the nostalgia praise from users like sowing
Why does sputnik neglect Everclear?
incidentally, I'd rank them: 1) Third Eye 2) Everclear 3) Matchbox 4) Goo Goo Dolls. Seriously my grandma fucking LOVED the goo goo dolls.... famous black balloon and all that shit fuck that shit
also: the song that played: "Swing"
highly recommend you check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpHWiiaC4Ow
(the video should make it pretty clear why it's in my itunes)
|Fun fact, Everclear based their entire career on Radiohead's "Lewis (Mistreated)".|
|that's pretty weird + i might even youtube it later out of curiosity|
|I fucking love Matchbox Twenty.I remember enjoying Everclear, but I remember none of their songs.|
Also I thought this was going to be about the alcohol.
|a very underrated list|
|Dude, So Much For The Afterglow was my jam back in Jr. High!|
