My Baby Collection
I didn't start buying physical copies of music until earlier this year, so this isn't very lengthy. I don't usually buy CD's, and just started purchasing cassettes... CD's are just unsubstantial in my opinion.
|1||Ash Borer/Fell Voices|
The real beginning of my record collection. One of my favorite albums.
Blood Fire Death
Picked up a white repress of this fine old release.
Meaningless Leaning Mess
Went to Hospital Productions to pick up the Departure Chandelier tape and Vesper recommended this record to me. Very glad she did, as it's one beautiful pile of noise.
Hate on Varg's new stuff all you want, I think this is decent. Belus was pretty bad, though. And I got a cheap clear vinyl copy.
The first Burzum album I heard, and one of the earliest black metal ones too.
Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Everybody should have this record.
When All Became None
Decided to try buying some newer releases, so I picked this up from Howling Mine.
A Blaze in the Northern Sky
Peaceville repressed this on clear vinyl so of course I had to get it.
In stereotypical stoner fashion, I bought this on green vinyl lol.
Definitely one of my favorite albums.
Good chaotic shit.
More good chaotic shit.
Damned in Black
This autographed picture disc in a Bathory slip was supposed to be a signed 1st pressing of Pure Holocaust, but the guy from who Vesper bought it was just an eBay scammer...
... so Vesper got me an actual copy, haha.
Sons of Northern Darkness
Was expecting blue vinyl, got white... Hmm.
I am of the "Krallice is fantastic" camp, so I scurried to find this on clear vinyl.
Paid an arm and a leg to get a green/smoke press of this.
Massive Conspiracy Against All Life
The Tenth Sub Level of Suicide
De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
Clear. God this album is fucking good.
Live in Leipzig
Nature Tries Again
Got a copy of the limited white pressing while at Hospital.
No metal collection should be without it.
Hasn't arrived yet, but I ordered the intense version and it should be here soon.
So glad I found this on eBay. Heard it for the first time only a couple weeks ago, but it blew me away.
The Black Crest of Death, the Gold Wreath of War
Got this tape at Hospital productions. Will be ripping it for a Mediafire link tonight, if anyone is interested in listening to it.
Fucking incredible CD. Can't wait for the tape.
Interesting little demo CD.
2010 Tour CD-R
Same goes for this one.
31/31 artwork ftw
Oops, forgot I also have Boris' Absolutego and Drudkh's Forgotten Legends hiding somewhere.
Would also love to pick up some tapes from Rhinocervs... several quality releases.
You should definitely listen to Black Marketeers of World War III by Wolvhammer since you like 7.
Thanks Hawks, I'll check that out. Yeah, any recommendations based on the list would be great.
No problem. I'll throw a few more out there. Don't know if you've heard any of these.
Coldworld - Melancholie
Walknut - Graveforests and Their Shadows
October Falls - The Womb of Primordial Nature
Forgotten Tomb - Springtime Depression
Judas Iscariot - Distant in Solitary Night
Malveillance - Just Fuck Off
Raspberry Bulbs - Finally Burst...With Fluid
Xasthur - Telepathic With the Deceased
Weakling - Dead as Dreams
Dead in the Dirt - Vold and Tour EP
Heavier than fuck grind from Atlanta and they're also cool guys. They're now working with Southern Lord if that says anything.
my neighbor was a baby collector
he's serving 10 consecutive life sentences now
This list has grown quite a bit in two months. Thanks for the mentions, hah.
Hawks, you're gonna need to try harder than that.
He's saying you need to try harder,
I mean how hard it that to understand
Satellite, have you heard the new BtMI! song?
Great list. Got about half of these on vinyl (including an original copy of Blood Fire Death).
I'm a she, Taylor, hah.
And, Hawks, I mean that he's definitely heard most, if not all, of those recs.
How much of your soul did you give up for that, Angel?
About $50, I think. Paid less than that for my original Under the Sign of the Black Mark.
"And, Hawks, I mean that he's definitely heard most, if not all, of those recs."
Figured haha. I could try and think of some more, but I'm half asleep.
yeah, actually i heard it live in march. probably my favorite of the new stuff so far.
I was expecting more than that, lol.
Haha, just go to sleep, Hawks.
Who's ready for 100 degrees in Michigan tomorrow? AWESOME.
And how about you both go to bed. Separately.
@Hawks: Thanks for the additional rec's. I like most of them, though I think Raspberry Bulbs' earlier releases are kind of mediocre. Really like the album of his I own... finally added enough variety to keep me interested.
@Eternium: Don't listen to much grind, but I'm curious; I'll give them a listen.
Jelly of you Under the Sign, Angel. I ripped the Departure Chandelier tape to my computer, so if anyone wants the Mediafire link, give me a shout.
