12.16.14 | Movie soundtracks I'm already familiar with, rec me anything similar:
Lord of the Rings
Braveheart
Gladiator
The Last Samurai
The Last of the Mohicans
Interstellar | SaneTBP
12.16.14 | Arvo Pärt - Tabula Rasa (it's really minimal, yet unusually catchy. a great stepping stone it seems and rules whether you're a newbie or an aficionado of the genre)
Antonin Dvorak - Symphony no. 9 (amazing harmonies, catchy melodies and epic orchestration hehe)
Olivier Messiaen - Quatuor pour la fin du temps (essential modern classical, weird yet somewhat accessible, heart-wrenching)
Igor Stravinsky - Le Sacre Du Printemps (an audial assault. crazy, over-the-top tastelessness which rules harder than all your fav Opeth discs combined)
Ludovico Einaudi - Divenire (accessible and pleasant compositions for solo piano. minimal and cinematic, sounds almost like a soundtrack to me)
Wojciech Kilar - The Ninth Gate (the best soundtrack that came to my mind, pretty dark in a moody, cool way. has some amazing moments) | SaneTBP
12.16.14 | So yeah, tried to keep it as diverse as I could without reccing too many pieces at once. Added the descriptions so you can choose what you'd dig. Great to see some sput's getting into classical btw | treeqt.

12.16.14 | Bach is essential too, the cello pieces and brandenburg concerto's are great stargting places. Also, Beethoven's piano sonatas and especially late string quartets are incredible

Liszt - Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2
