| Anything Interesting Out There?
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that most new music is just boring. Even those new albums that are thought of as above average or even as actually good usually just bore me to death. A good example of this is the new Funeral for a Friend album (rated 3.9 on this site). Is this for real? Yes, it is better than anything they've released before but that doesn't make it 'excellent'. I'm sure the rating will drop once people actually give the album some time. But yeah... it's still sad. If you know some good and relatively new albums please recommend me something. None of this FfaF/PtH/DGD shit because you know as well as I do that it's not that good. Some of you just like it because you've seen others like it. The list is a few somewhat new albums that I've actually kind of enjoyed. | 1 | | Polvo In Prism
It really surprised me that they were able to come back with an album this strong. | 2 | | Liars Sisterworld
One of those bands that can't seem to dissappoint. | 3 | | The National High Violet
Perhaps too obvious of a choice. | 4 | | Brand New Daisy
Maybe not as good as TDAGARIM but I still enjoy this. | 5 | | Frightened Rabbit The Midnight Organ Fight
Okay, so the music is not that original but there is something about the vocals and the lyrics that make this stand out in my opinion. | |

Awfully presumptive for a new guy.
With out having rated anything it's kind of hard to know what you like but if you want to try something new you could try the new album from the "garage-soul" group Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears.
Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears - SCANDALOUS (new, out today) the single "Booty City" is really good)
Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears - “Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is” (previous album which is great)
This one is really good too:
robert randolph and the family band - Unclassified

03.15.11 | Rishloo - Feathergun | Sowing
03.15.11 | Define 'new music'. Are you just referring to stuff from the 2000's? Anyway, I used to think the same way you did but then I found that 'new music' is every bit as good as old music - you just have to look in the right places.
Now it is hard to predict what someone will or won't like, but based on the albums in your list you have similar taste to me...so I will recommend you some albums that I thoroughly enjoy.
Anberlin - Cities
Deftones - White Pony
Mae - (e)vening
Muse - Absolution
Third Eye Blind - Third Eye Blind
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A# (Infinity)
Tigers on Trains - Grandfather
Those are in no particular order, and I also left out things I assumed you have already heard (Brand New's other albums, Radiohead's Kid A and OK Computer, etc.) | dreamobile
03.15.11 | Titus Andronicus - The Monitor
Surfer Blood - Astro Coast | FourSquare20
03.15.11 | Yeah man, you're kinda being an asshole haha. There's been a lot of good new shit recently. |
