Okay, so I've been working on this for the past day or two. Wrote the
lyrics the other night, edited samples yesterday, figured out guitar this
afternoon. I finally finished. It's about 15 minutes long. I haven't finished
it yet, but it's a demo for a release that (hopefully) I'll have finished at
some point. Mostly ambient/post-rock/acoustic/folk/spoken word. Haha.
Let me know. Link in description.
Ashes Against the Grain
So, let me know. It's a little rough, I need to work on the fades, but otherwise, it's mostly complete.
Sounds good Captain. lol.
Thanks. Yeah that's what I was thinking, they felt a little hollow to me when I added them into the track. Thanks. Yeah, awesome advice, thanks. I was hoping to add in some pianos, and maybe drums, to the main portions of the track as well. Like I said, it's kind of a demo so I can get feedback before I keep on my direction with what I'm hoping to release.
Thanks man. Hahaha, ironically, he's on my list, and one of my favorite musicians.
i like this. i think you should slow down the guitar in the first 5 mins though, it feels too rushed to be ambient. it needs to be a bit more laid back.
Updated it today, added in the mandolin and rerecorded in my basement laundry room which always has a weird reverb feel to it.
I also changed up some of the ambient sections and added some other stuff, including actual vocals at the end. It's longer now( ~16 min.) but, I like it better.
Awesome man, thanks. Glad you like it.
Sounds great lol. Always encouraging to hear that it's not total crap. Hahaha.
