Okay, so I've been working on this for the past day or two. Wrote the
lyrics the other night, edited samples yesterday, figured out guitar this
afternoon. I finally finished. It's about 15 minutes long. I haven't finished
it yet, but it's a demo for a release that (hopefully) I'll have finished at
some point. Mostly ambient/post-rock/acoustic/folk/spoken word. Haha.
Let me know. Link in description.
Ashes Against the Grain
So, let me know. It's a little rough, I need to work on the fades, but otherwise, it's mostly complete.
Cool will check later tonite gotta run some erans atm
Sounds good Captain. lol.
sounds great, the acoustic guitars could use a tad reverb on them so they sit better in the mix. Music is good too, I would appreciate a little more musical direction and reach out for connection.
Your style reminds me of Musk Ox. I recommend you check out my review for them and get and check the album as well. I could see you being really inspired by his work.
Thanks. Yeah that's what I was thinking, they felt a little hollow to me when I added them into the track. Thanks. Yeah, awesome advice, thanks. I was hoping to add in some pianos, and maybe drums, to the main portions of the track as well. Like I said, it's kind of a demo so I can get feedback before I keep on my direction with what I'm hoping to release.
Thanks man. Hahaha, ironically, he's on my list, and one of my favorite musicians.
i like this. i think you should slow down the guitar in the first 5 mins though, it feels too rushed to be ambient. it needs to be a bit more laid back.
@North - oh hahaha i didn't see that. Well you're already accustomed to him so awesome. He actually shoutboxed me a thank you for doing the review of his album. pretty cool guy.
And cool some pianos and drums could work well although drums aren't always necessary for ambient. Keep me posted on future work bro.
Updated it today, added in the mandolin and rerecorded in my basement laundry room which always has a weird reverb feel to it.
I also changed up some of the ambient sections and added some other stuff, including actual vocals at the end. It's longer now( ~16 min.) but, I like it better.
sounds really good bro, i really dig it man, gonna download and try to jam it tonight again
Awesome man, thanks. Glad you like it.
Sounds great lol. Always encouraging to hear that it's not total crap. Hahaha.
