bakkermaarten007 12.20.12	Psychiatrists are the smarter ones, the ones that need to become a doctor first =). When I went to see a psychologist they took IQ tests and then started with breathing exercices and I never felt they understood my anxieties. The psychiatrist I went to see immediately understood and I had a nice chat with him and he got to the point and suggested me SSRI (antidepressants). Those are likely the ones you'll need too, I refused though 'cause I'm not depressed and want to solve my anxiety by changing the way I think about things. I don't want to take a shortcut. You'll need them though, severe depression won't solve itself.

They ended their calendar on December 21th, 2012, knowing that the already fear induced, impressionable masses would see this and panic, but also knowing the whole time that this didn't mean the end. They knew that when the clock strikes midnight and it was December 22nd, 2012 and everything was still in place and the Earth was still sturdy and intact, this would give millions of people everywhere a new lease on life. This chunk of the population, now relieved of the threat, or even desire, that the end was coming would then rise up and be better men and women than they could ever be, burdened by fear and loneliness. The new found jubilance falling upon this small, yet significant population of people will increase the general morale of mankind, giving the kick start needed to achieve a utopian society, accepting of all races, creeds, sexualities and walks of life. I'm currently on lexapro for anxiety but thanks to my depression issues gone and my anxiety somewhat monitored, I feel fine again. Don't let depression/anxiety take a hold of you and live on.

If you have depression, then i must have been misdiagnosed.

MeatSalad 12.21.12	I've gone through some fucked up stuff due to meds: crippling nausea, and my entire body including my eyes being dried out to the point of skin peeling everywhere, cracked and bleeding. Not to mention Aderall which has perma-fried my brain and completely changed me as a person.

Observer 12.21.12	one med i took turned me into like a silent monk. id memerize scripture and pray constantly all day, i was miserable. whenever i got off that i completely lost my faith.
MeatSalad 12.21.12	Well wack for me the big turning point was losing both my dad and girlfriend of almost three years earlier this year. They're not dead or anything but they're completely out of my life now, and not by my choice. That coupled with my life not really going anywhere due to not finishing high school and working shitty jobs full time, plus moving away from all of my friends. I'm working on it now though, going to therapy and taking meds so we'll see how things turn out a few months down the line

The thing about mine is it actually does have a cause, which i wont discuss here, but that explains a little of the trouble i keep having with meds - i dont have a typical imbalance via genetics. sad thing is the doctors dont know how to address or treat the cause of it at all, so they just try to medicate its effect, i.e. depression, which has thus far failed. it really comes as no surprise but they dont get that.

Getting your GED might be a good idea. @Ponton: Well yeah I don't know what your problem is, but I suggest doing anything towards solving it. I have a problem myself I can't seem to work out and don't want to talk about either. Do whatever you can that makes you feel happy, listening to music is the best therapy myself, also taking time each day for yourself to ponder your thoughts helps too. @andcas: That sucks man, if you were close to that sibling I suggest you think about the best things you remember about them and it might actually make you feel happy. I've lost people who were close to me and the best thing is always to remember the good times and what good things their life gave you or helped you learn from their death. @Trebor17: My family is emotionally dead to, I don't relate with any of them anymore and they're who I'm around most anymore. I wish I could spend more time to my friends since they're the people I relate to most and help me progress in life.
