Accepting the way things are is a huge part. It helps but it's also healthy and natural to keep a certain level of fear which protects u, but being anxious is completely different. We all know things can happen at anytime do its good to prepare your mind for the worst possible things, ignoring it could make/will make the anxiety worse because there's is no coming to/of terms. Seek understanding, this is what I want. Then, through understanding u will find contentment. |

I also have a mild case of social anxiety and feel extremely self-conscious in public and when making small talk with people I don't know well. I manage to hide it very well by forcing myself to be outgoing. If you are warm and friendly with people they tend to respond in the same way. I am gradually getting over it. Sitting at home and deliberately avoiding these situations only makes things worse. |

There's a theory that explains this, I'll try to find the video for it. But in short, if you want your years to seem/last longer, live a more memorable life. It's proven that if you have more memories to look back on, you life will seem longer, rather than shorter. This is why childhood seemed to drag on forever, because it's absolutely jam-packed with memories.
I've just looked, I can't find the video, but essentially it's something to do with your years cutting in half each year because of some stuff yada yada, difficult to explains. Long story short: do more memorable shit. |
