|Btbam Albums Ranked|
So I know there are quite a few people on this site who are very outspoken about their distaste for BTBAM, but they've been my favorite band since 2003, so I'm making this list.
|1||Between the Buried and Me|
BTBAM progressed at an alarming rate over the first few albums of their career, and this is where it all peaked. This album is spectacular all the way through and is the most cohesive effort from BTBAM to date.
Best Songs: 'Ants of the Sky,' 'White Walls'
|2||Between the Buried and Me|
The first album from the band with their current lineup, 'Alaska' hinted at what Between the Buried and Me were capable of doing. This album may suffer a bit from some shoddy production, but it features some of the best songs the band has ever written.
Best Songs: 'Selkies: The Endless Obsession,' 'Backwards Marathon'
|3||Between the Buried and Me|
The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues
Is this an EP, or an album? Sputnik has it as an EP. I've heard some places refer to it as an album. There are only three songs, but those three songs add up to a longer album than some full lengths. Either way, I'm including it in my list at number 3. 'Hypersleep Dialogues' features all the technical wizardry the band displayed in 'Colors' and 'The Great Misdirect' with a sense that the band is trying to hone those skills in a new direction. Although these songs are still extremely technical, they at times show restraint that we are not used to.
Best Song: 'Specular Reflection'
|4||Between the Buried and Me|
The Great Misdirect
'The Great Misdirect' had the unfortunate disadvantage of having to live up to the incredibly high expectations that were created after 'Colors.' On its own, 'The Great Misdirect' is a solid effort with a just few blemishes.
Best Songs: 'Obfuscation,' 'Disease, Injury, Madness'
|5||Between the Buried and Me|
The Silent Circus
The album the got me into BTBAM, 'The Silent Circus' in hindsight is a bit disjointed. However, it does feature moments of absolute brilliance.
Best Songs: 'Mordecai,' 'Ad a dglgmut'
|6||Between the Buried and Me|
Between the Buried and Me
The very beginning for BTBAM, their self-titled effort is a great release despite poor production and a vocal performance from a front-man who seemingly didn't know what he was doing yet.
Best Songs: 'More of Myself to Kill,' 'Shevanel Cut a Flip'
|shevanel cut a flip is prob the best song theyve ever done. or mordecai|
|My favorite is White Walls. |
|yeah me too or ants of the sky|
|Tommy Rogers is a funny looking dude|
|BTBAM is fucking awful|
|My list would probably be exactly the same.|
|5 should be 1.|
|"BTBAM is fucking awful" So is FFAF.|
|metal for life|
|metal in the mornin metal in the evenin metal at suppah time.|
|I have never knowingly listened to a BtBaM song. Is it to late to care or or should I give one of their albums a spin? At this point I'm assuming every mention of them is a joke tbh.|
|omnipanzer, try out Alaska. if you like it then move on to Colors. if not, then don't bother, you won't like the rest probably.|
|Yeah Alaska is a good one to start with.|
|Okay, I'll put it on my "long list" and will grab it when it comes around.|
|Way to post my least favorite song off Colors :)|
and 3 is an ep according to BTBAM. I think theyre label wanted to release it as an album to keep more
money (and bc of its length)
|Bumping this because that other guy made one too.|
|BTBAM ALBUMS SPANKED|
tehy're very mediocre composers, except on 4, which is fantastic.
this site is obsessed with that band
|balcaen just won the thread|
|spanking always wins|
we learn this at a young age
and then again... much later
