ITsHxCTOASTER 04.13.12	I did the same deathcore to death metal transition as you (though I still listen to some deathcore) and I used to dig the same kind of death metal as you have in the list. Eventually I found it boring and started to like more of what people are suggesting in the comments, so you might do the same. I'm gonna warn you, you may not dig a lot of the recs at first, just give them time. I know this makes me sound all "holier than thou" but I'm just trying to help a nigga out

YankeeDudel 04.13.12	FYI ive been getting a little more into death metal lately after I trashed it a couple weeks ago. i guess forcing myself to listen to it over and over has made it grow on me a smidge. So far the bands Ive liked are Suffocation, Immolation, Cryptopsy, Death, Ulcerate, Decapitated, Necorophagist, Fleshgod Apocolypse, The Faceless, Obscura, Entombed, Psycroptic, Nile, Atheist, Cynic, Septic Flesh. and a couple others. While some death metal is cool there really isnt much variation in it still to me though. As a genre it seems pretty limited. When you're focused on just being brutal then there really isnt much else to go. I mean how much more brutal/technical can an album get than None So Vile? And that shit came out 16 years ago. So far the 90s-early 2000s death metal is the best to me. I guess there just comes a point when everything has been done in a genre. Its why most musical subgenres' golden eras are only about 5-10 years or so.
