Whats An Open-minded Music Listener?

so i went on a discussion on last.fm about being open-minded when it comes to music. some people say you need to listen to every genre, but isnt searching for new exciting bands that create fresh/innovating music within the genres you love being open-minded as well? because having korn, cannibal corpse, blink 182, nirvana and a couple of DJs in your library isnt exactly a very open-minded thing.. at least imo
